Loni's POV
"Kaitlin, you're a genius!" I cried.
"Say it again, I can't hear you." Kaitlin joked. It wasn't often that I called Kaitlin a genius so I knew she was fooling around. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't worry, I'll help you Tay Tay." I reassured Tanya. Then I ran to the school gates, my arms linked around Kaitlin's and Tanya's. Soon after, the bell rang.
Kaitlin's POV
Oh great, the bell rang. 5/6T is one of a kind because we don't have a schedule on the whiteboard like everyone else does. We get given a sheet of A5 paper and we are given our schedule for the three days on the sheet of paper. Then after those three days, we are given another one for the next three days and so on. If you lose the paper, then Ms Thornhill gives us her annoying quote "Too bad, so sad!"
See why it's annoying? Anyway, I asked Tanya what was on our schedule because I couldn't bother looking at mine.
"What's in the morning session, Tanya?" I asked her.
"Maths and Inventing class." Tanya said, more cheerful than a few minutes ago.
"Yes!" I heard Loni shout on glee.
"Well then how did you become quite the nerd?" I joked again.
"Firstly, I'm not a nerd and secondly, maths isn't what I was cheering for. It was inventing class."
"Well duh, of course I knew that (not)." I replied trying to keep my pride not get rusty.
Everyone loves inventing class, even Cayne and his little gang, which is weird because they don't like any subject their given. I'm going to freak if we are doing algebra for maths. It's so hard! My little gang (more like Loni's little gang) consisted of me, Loni, Tanya and Aunchy. We all went to our lines and then our class was called, then we stamped hurriedly onto those stairs and strolled right into class.
Aunchy's POV
"As you know class, today in the morning session we are going to have maths and inventing class." Ms Thornhill announced. "You don't know that we are doing algebra for maths." Everyone moaned. I don't see what was so bad about algebra so I squealed "Yes!"
"Why you so happy nerd?" Teased Cayne in a really bad way. "I'm not a nerd!" I shouted back
"Yes you are." He cried again.
"No I'm not."
"Yes"
"No"
Then Ms Thornhill scornfully chided Cayne in front of the whole class. His gang looked at Cayne angrily for the first time in their lives. He blushed and then everyone in the class giggled silently. "Ok onto algebra. I have a worksheet I want you guys to complete. The worksheet is on the floor. Get it and do your working out on the sheet. Once you're done, glue the worksheet into your maths book."
(One hour later)
Loni's POV
All that algebra was really hard. On the bright side, at least we can go to inventing class now at the computer lab. Even Aunchy was happy that the algebra was finished, and that was her favourite part in maths. We all marched down blissfully in single file. Everyone had a bright smile on their faces. Our inventing teacher, Ms Kessey waited for us at the door of the computer lab and she too had a gleaming smile etched on her face. We were her favourite inventing class.
We all went in and Ms Kessey told us what to do. "Today in inventing class, you are going to invent something that will help someone. Anyone have any ideas?"
"I'm going to invent duct tape, to help the boys not get annoyed. All you have to do is put the duct tape on Loni's gang and everyone will be in a state of bliss forever." Teased Cayne. I rolled my eyes and ignored them. (By them I meant Cayne and his stupid gang).
"Now now Cayne. That wasn't nice. Say sorry to Loni, Cayne." Replied Ms Kessey. He reluctantly said sorry to me, as I expected. I ignored him again.
After Ms Kessey gave us the materials (actual metal and a few screwdrivers) we set to work. We sat in the seating arrangement Ms Kessey made. Kaitlin was next to me. I knew what to make straight away after Kaitlin's 'Genius' idea.
(Another hour later)
"What have you made everyone?" Interrogated Ms Kessey. Everyone showed her what they made. They were really cool. After that, Ms Kessey told us that we could keep our little inventions. Cayne and gang threw theirs away because it was rubbish (pun intended). It became lunchtime. We all snatched our food away in hunger like a ravenous pack of hyenas and took them to the play area. I put on my invention (it was a digital watch that could tell you the day, date and time. If you press this button, then a little keyboard pops up and you can text anyone if in a hurry.) and texted Tanya, Kaitlin, Cayne and Zack.
Tanya's POV
I had no idea what Loni was talking about when she said "I'm going to help you." I'm figuring that it has something to do with yesterday. Ding. My phone buzzed. It buzzes when there's a notification. I checked my phone and found that someone texted me. It was Loni. It said...
Loni BFF
Loni: Meet me at the shady area now
Why? :Tanya
Loni: I can't say
I put my phone back into my camouflaging pocket (I invented it in inventing class).
Zack's POV
Somebody texted me! On my phone. I took my phone out of my pocket and checked who it was. It was Loni. Urgh! I'll check it anyways.
Loni
Loni: Meet me at the shady area now
Ok you nitwit :Zack
Loni: lol. See you nitwit
Kaitlin's POV
Ding. That was my phone. It has a notification. I got my phone out and then looked at who texted me. It was Loni. Then I saw Cayne who was right behind me. "What's happening?" He cried.
"Got a text from Loni. Want to see?" I asked.
"Fine." Cayne grumbled. I looked at my text from Loni.
Loni BFF 😀
Loni: Meet me at the shady area.
Were you going to text Cayne that as well cause he's right next to me :Kaitlin
Loni: Yes I was. Now I don't have to text son of a pain queen
Lol. See you there best friend :Kaitlin
Loni: see you
"I'm going to go there and give Loni a piece of my mind." Replied Cayne. I rolled my eyes. When I reached there, I saw obviously Cayne , Zack and Tanya but most importantly, I saw Loni had a plan.
Loni's POV
"Ok Cayne and Zack. A punishment for doing this treacherous deed to my best friend. You have to play 'Truth or Dare' with us. Tanya and Kaitlin. You are spectators so watch all the fun." My plan was working. Tanya was literally laughing out loud.
"First with you Zack. Truth or Dare?" I asked.
"Truth"
"Is it true that your my cousin?"
"Sigh. Yes." Everyone was laughing out loud and Cayne covered his mouth with his hands. "Dude. I feel so sorry for you." Replied Cayne but he was laughing as well.
"Time to end your laughing streak Cayne. Truth or Dare?" I asked.
"I dare you to tell your biggest secret you've never told anyone ever!" That was the best dare I ever came up with and then my friends high-fived me. Just like Zack he sighed as he let out his biggest secret ever.
"I'm scared of cats." He said. We all laughed and then Zack felt sorry for him as well. Genuinely. I knew definitely that Cayne would never annoy anyone ever again.
The bell rang and then Kaitlin and Tanya were beside me. Tanya replied. "A friend would never try to make me laugh like that. Thanks Loni."
"No problem." I announced with a smile on her face. Then Aunchy joined us. "What happened?" She interrogated. Then I told her everything.
She was laughing like the other people did. Tanya then finally returned to her usual optimistic self and laughing to herself. That's good. Some people just never change...
