Everyone stumbled into the hotel going up to their rooms high on adrenaline and the remnants of their excitement. As they stumbled and laughed many people stared like they suspected them to be drunk but that only made them laugh harder. It was only once they had reached their rooms that they calmed down and Satomi's feelings hit her again. She stood in the lobby area watching as everyone stumbled off to their rooms with vague good nights and sultry, playful suggestions to their partners. As she watched Kanade spin off with Ichi and Emi she couldn't help smile, until she felt two familiar arms wrap around her waist.
"Why don't you stay with me tonight?" Elliot whispered softly against her ear.
Satomi spun feeling a tightness in her stomach and a flush in her cheeks. But when she looked up to meet his eyes the tightness in her gut twisted sickeningly in a familiar way. Elliot's normally clear blue eyes seemed clouded somehow and she could see a struggle in them.
"Actually... I'm gonna stay up for a while..." Satomi whispered softly backing out of his arms despite her own inner protests.
Elliot looked at her confused and shocked slightly before nodding. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers lightly and she leaned into the touch until he broke away. She watched him walk away and then turned walking slowly until a slightly warm breeze hit her and she found herself on the dark roof. She walked to the rail and leaned against it with a sigh, her hand touching her lips softly.
Ever since she and Kanade had bonded and the white streak appeared in her hair things have been changing for her, back to how they had been right after the accident.
"Late night worries?"
She spun smoothly to meet a pair of swirling blue and green eyes watching her.
"Kazumi..." She sighed and was once again confused by the sense of ease that flooded her.
"What's wrong?" He asked coming to stand beside her with a calm expression that made her want to confess everything.
As she met those eyes she found that she did want to speak to him, but not just about what she was going through. She wanted to tell him everything. To bare her soul. But she couldn't.
"How many secrets can you keep before even you loose sight of the truth?" Satomi asked rhetorically.
Kazumi watched her, his breath catching slightly at the sight of her serene expression in the moonlight as the night air blew through her hair.
"For so long we've, Kanade and I, have hid parts of ourselves so that Chairman can't use them and He can't get us." she whispers.
"He?" Kazumi asked feeling a cold chill.
Satomi's eyes half closed and shadowed slightly.
"The Dark King who searches for us in our nightmares. Ever since that day......" She murmured.
He stayed silent as the foreboding of her words buzzed in the air.
"For so long we have had to hide who we really are from everyone but each other. But somehow I feel can trust you, in a way I can't Elliot." She said sensing what he was going to ask.
Then she her breath as she registered her words before letting out a deep sigh. She stared at the night scenery before speaking again.
"I know you know more about us then you let on. I've known since you found me that night even though I was hundreds of miles away, and ever since you told me those words, 'Yin cannot live without Yang.' Because your right, even more so than you know."
