I remember the first time I ever met Mike well I have known him since I was 4 years old since we used to live over the road from eachother. We dated once when we were teenagers but it was hard to keep it a secret from my father who hated Mike and his family back then I didn't know why. We decided to stay close friends that was until he told me he was leaving for the WWE. The last time I saw him was at his leaving party he never said goodbye to me and I haven't seen him ever since then.
I hugged my coat tighter against my body the street of New york was super busy everyone walking home from work or getting their christmas shopping. So much has changed since then I now live in New York I have a job I am now a author it can be hard at times but I always get over it. I decided to go to starbucks and get my usuall green tea one of my friends were working there plus all of the staff knew me from going in there everyday. I walked in my friend smiled as soon as she saw me she got straight to my drink putting it in one of those plastic starbucks cups and handing me a pink straw I nodded my head to say thanks to her and then I paid her.
I walked out of starbucks but someone bumped into me making my drink go all over me I glared at them but stopped when I realized who i bumped into.
''Molly?'' He whispered the voice that I once loved the voice that I missed so much.
''Mike?'' I whispered back his blue eyes looking into mine his brown no longer spiked up it was more flat and his skin looked tanned.
''I'm sorry about your drink let me get another one so we can catch up?'' He said I nodded my head yes even though my brain was telling me no to do it but I missed him so much.
''Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone I'll be waiting all there's left to do is run you'll be the prince and I'll be the princess all there's left to do is run it's a love story baby just say yes.''
''How have you been?'' Mike asked I looked at him he looked like he was doing well for himself of course he was this was a WWE Superstar and an actor.
''I'm good be busy these past few weeks but it always gets busy at this time of year'' I said I took a sip of my green tea Mike watching me.
''How's your father I haven't seen him since I left?'' He asked I was hoping he would leave my father out of this.
''Umm I don't know we don't really talk anymore we had an argument last year'' I said concern and sympathy was in his eyes but I ignored it.
''So are you spending christmas on your own?'' His eyebrows was raised I nodded my head yes it was true I was alone for christmas but I didn't mind. ''You can come back home with me if you want my parents keeps on talking about you I think they will be happy to have you there?'' He said I did miss his parents there were really close to me.
''Sure thanks'' I said we continued to talk and laugh while drinking out starbucks.
''So I sneak out to the garden to see you we keep quiet cause we're dead if they knew so close your eyes escape this town for a little while. Cause you were Romeo and I was a scarlett letter and my daddy said stay away from Juliet but you were everything to me I was begging you please don't go.''
I got out off the car and was now standing infron of Mike's parents house I turned around and saw my house I could see my father looking out of the window. I looked at Mike he nodded his head over to my father's telling me to go over there so I did I pressed the doorbell and waited for him to answer.
''Hello?'' He asked I rolled my eyes at him he looked at me confused like he didn't know me.
''Come on dad it's only been a year are you going to let me in or not'' I said he opened the door fully open then he walked inside I followed him but shut the door on the way inside. I looked around the livingroom it looked dirty and old he only had one christmas decoration it was a christmas but it looked dead with 3 balls on it and one piece of tinsel.
''How long have you been living like this?'' I asked takeaway trays and bags were all over the coffee table and beer cans all over the floor.
''How long have you been with him?'' He asked while glaring at me I sighned.
''Me and Mike aren't dating dad you know what I came here to see how you were? But I guess I'm just wasting my time.'' I walked out his house before he could say anything then ran to mike's parents house Mike saw the tears falling then he wrapped his arms around me.
''Romeo take me somehwere we can be alone I'll be waiting all there's left to do is run you'll be the prince and I'll be the princess it's a love story, baby just say yes. Romeo save me they're trying to tell me how to feel this love is difficult but it's real don't be afraid we'll make it out of this mess it's a love story baby just say yes.''
''Can I ask you something?'' Mike asked I looked at him and nodded my head yes it was christmas eve we was sitting on the rooftop staring at the night sky and looking at the stars.
''Ever since I left you have always been on my mind you're on my mind when I wake up and when I go to sleep. I always thought I would wake on a morning and see you next to me sleeping peacefully what I'm trying to say is I love you with the whole of my heart I always have and always will please will you be mine?'' he went into his pocket and pulled out a box he opened it and I saw a silver heart necklace it was so beautiful.
''Yes'' I said I smiled he put his lips against mine while putting the necklace around me neck that night we just snuggled up together talking and looking at the stars until we fell asleep.
''I got tired of waiting wondering if you were ever coming around my faith in you was fading when I met you on the outskirts of town and I said ''Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone I keep waiting for you but you never come. Is this in my head? I don't know what to think.'' He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said.... ''Marry me juliet you'll never after be alone I love you and that's all I really know I talked to your dad go pick out a white dress it's a love story baby just say yes.'' Cause we were both young when I first saw you.''
