Fast Forward

6 years later.

Cold wind hits her skin, waking her up in the middle of the night as she realized she's still at home. She was dreaming of totally not coming back to this place for there was no good memories she can recall.

"What the fuck!!!" George shouted so loud forgetting her baby is still asleep.

"Why the fuck you didn't wake me up?" It was almost 12 midnight and her work is at 1am. She was talking to Rod but it seems like he didn't hear anything.

Rod got addicted to Dota 2 then to some other mobile games. After they got laid off with their previous jobs, he didn't get a new one to take care of their 6 year old daughter.

"Hey!!! Are you seriously not listening to me???", she was seriously mad.

George can't afford to be late at work. She's been supporting her family for 6 years now. Alone. For some reason, Rod changed a lot after Xandra was born, their daughter. As if there was a light switch that was turned off that everything was flipped upside down.

George continued to rant and curse but didn't get any response from him.

"Fine! If you're not listening to me, don't expect me to be home early tomorrow. I'm tired..The only thing that I asked you to do is to wake me up if my alarm went off but as simple as that, you can't even do it! "

Still no response.

She immediately changed her clothes and left.

At work, you will never see George unhappy. She can always fake it. She always bear in mind that her job is have fun at work, enjoy it with her friends, bring food to the table and buy something she wants. After work, her best friend Sheena invited her for a drink after shift.

"George! Here!!" Sheena was waiving her hand from the smoking area.

"Let's have a drink after shift. I'm seriously tired today with all of those fucking morons who can't even understand simple instruction as clearing cache and cookies or even closing a window!", Sheena continued.

" Like, I asked this customer that if the page is not working, try to do some basic troubleshooting steps , close the window try to relaunch it and tell me what he sees after, you know his response?

"Are you fucking kidding me? You asked me to closed the window then asked me what do I see? Obviously, it's nothing!! It's dark in here!" Sheena mimicking the last customer she handled.

She was a customer support agent and been bestfriends with George since they started working in the BPO industry. Wherever George goes, Sheena goes and vice versa.

"That's hilarious!!" George was laughing so hard with what just Sheena shared.

"I can't believe some dumb asshole like that still exist! Hahaha!!!". Both of them were laughing so hard as if they are the only person in the world. And this is what they love about each other. If they know something is wrong, no one will ask if you are okay. They will just do something to make you laugh and forget the bad day. Whether at work or at home.

Both of them were smoking cigarettes when a group of people approached them.

"Hey Sheena! Let's go!", a guy shouting from afar asking them to come over.

For some reason, Georgina was in awe in what she saw... A punk looking guy with full sleeve tattoo wearing an eyeglasses but you can see his cute chinky eyes, dimples and....

"Wait! Georgina was talking to herself. " What the hell is wrong with me. And who is that guy? Why is he bothering my senses?"

Sheena then answered, "One sec, can I bring Georgina with me?",  asking the guy with tattoos.

The guy  replied, "Sure! The more the merrier!" displaying his big full smile with a wink on his eye.

What the fuck was that? Georgina couldn't think straight and still in awe on what she saw. In her mind, "hmmmm, he is cute. Just what I like!"
