"As promised, we are watching a movie today." A series of cheers erupted around the room as Mr. Hayes turned off the lights, the screen already set up in front. "We are watching a film called The Beaver."

"I know that movie! I've watched that before!" A kid named Jaime shouted.

"Is it about the crazy dude?" One kid who's seated on the middle row asked.

"Shush, no spoilers." Our professor warned, earning a laugh from some of the students. "I want you all to pay attention to Walter Black's character, observe his personality and compare him to the beaver. You are all expected to pass a reflection paper next meeting." With that, he started playing the movie.

The movie was interesting, to say the least. It made me think so much and I just wanted to head home immediately so that I could already start with my reflection paper. Even the mere though of writing makes me excited. I know that I am going to exert so much effort on this.

"Did you like the movie, Quinn?" I heard Jack ask from behind me as Vic and I started to walk out of the room, interrupting us from our peaceful conversation. Can't I just have at least one day without either of him or Alex bothering me? This is getting too old for my own liking, seriously.

I rolled my eyes at him although he couldn't see me doing so. "Leave me alone, Jack." I told him with a bored tone, making him laugh. Again, does he actually think that he's funny?

"Aw, where's the fun to that?" He asked in a teasing manner. "Anyways, I see that you're with your friend again."

"Yeah and you just rudely interrupted us." I shot back as we finally passed through the main gates. Is he seriously still following us? How pathetic could he be?

"Yeah, that's why I figured."

"What do you want, Jack?" I asked as I turned around to face him, his face all smug and annoying. "Where's Alex? Surely he'll be pleased to see you." I sarcastically added. Before he could even answer me, though, our attention was grabbed by Oliver approaching our direction.

"Leave." He said simply, looking at Jack coldly. Jack scoffed but said no more as he did so. I couldn't be any more thankful for Oliver's appearance right now. "You. What were you doing with Hannah?" He asked sternly as soon as Jack left off. Spoke too soon.

"We were just talking? What's your deal?" I scoffed, nodding at Vic as we were about to walk off and leave him behind. Really? Right when I thought that I could actually thank him for once, he's just proving how much of a dick he is? He's clearly jealous. Almost half of the population of this campus knows his undying admiration towards Hannah. He tried wooing her but I guess he isn't her type. He doesn't deserve her, honestly.
"You better stop talking to her or I'll-"

"Oh, stop being so jealous!" I exclaimed, clearly tired of all of these stupid people. "We just became friends, nothing else. I'm gay, for fuck's sake!" That seem to shut him up. His eyes widened but as soon as he shook himself off of that trance, he went back to that cold, hard demeanor that he usually put up.

"Whatever." He mumbled as he walked away, leaving me and Vic alone finally.

"Told you he's a weirdo." Vic commented and we both chuckled, walking our way to my house.

"I don't get why people find it amusing to bother me. I mean, don't they have anything better to do with their damn lives?" I queried as I threw my backpack on my bed, heading straight to my bathroom to wash my face and my hands. Whenever I go home from school, this is my routine. I don't know, I just think that the outside is too damn filthy.

"They're just a bunch of low-life idiots. Don't mind them." Vic said from my room and though I cannot see him, I could hear him shrugging his shoulders, as usual.

"I think so, too." I sighed, wiping my face with a towel. "But it just gets too tiring, y'know? Why can't they bother someone else. Better yet, why can't they just bother no one."

"That's just how people work, I guess." He shrugged again as he laid flatly against my comfortable bed. Seeing him in such a comfortable state made me jealous so I joined him instantly, both of us now staring up at my ceiling, as per usual.

"I hate people so much." I muttered, my eyebrows slightly meeting together.

Vic hummed, clearly thinking. That's one of the many things that I really like about Vic. He actually thinks before he speaks. He knows what to say to any of my rants and mostly curious questions. Again, I don't know where and what I'll be without him. "That's okay, you have me." He said.

"Yeah, that's why I love you. You're not like them; you understand me." I mumbled in my half-asleep state. He just hummed again. Maybe this is why people look at us weirdly, we act all couple-y even though we're not. I treasure Vic and I's friendship so much and I know that he does, too. If I were to be asked to make a list of the most important people in my life, Vic would surely be way up there, even before my parents. I am surprised at how much he knows about me, how much we have in common. I genuinely cannot believe that I was able to find someone who could clearly understand me and stay by my side for this long.

"Love you, too, Kells."
