Raven's pov
I rummaged through the ruins of what was once known as a city in th upper united states, east coast, now just another pile of rubble and ruins. I was scavenging food from what used to be a food lion, a grocery store. There was plenty to get, as few people even came out here anymore, a bomb did hit the area a while back, but i was braver than most, and more willing to go where nobody else did. Sure the joirney was an hour even in my off roader, but it always paid off. I just had to be careful. There was a monster base im the city, and i really didnt feel like having to deal with anything today. I loaded up what i had foumd in my off roader, climbing in and laying my pack on the seat next to me.
I brushed my raven black hair that had white and grey highlights in it from my eyes, and sighed. I took a deep breath, one more stop today, it would be on the way back and woyldnt take too long, but it was in monster territory. Id have to be on guard.
I started up the off roader and started driving towards my destination. Its been a year since ive been there, but i know right where it is. Its near this mountain, Mt Ebbot, and theres super hostile territory there. Theres a huge monster city there, an impenetrable fortress, only reason i even go near the place is cause, well, thats where my brother is buried.
After about 45 minutes of driving, finally i got to the base of the mountain. I locked up my off roader and looked up at the mountain. I was on the oposite side from where the city was, but still i kept on guard. I clutch my wooden staff close, its the only way ill fight.
I start walking, careful of my footsteps. I walk up the side of the mountain, winding my way through the trees. I knew the path well, i come here evry year, starting ten years ago when the war had just about started.
I came to a cave. I hopped over the hole at the front, heading towards the back of the cave.
I knelt down in front of an old slab of limestone, carved into it was the name Tobias Aris, my brother. I placed down a single flower in front of the grave, before speaking a bit.
"Hey bro. Sorry i dont visit often. Ive been busy. The war is still going on, and ive been keeping out of it for the most part. Yknow me, lonely as a raven," i chuckled with a sad smile. "I help out anyone who needs it, monster or human, despite hating both sides." I sighed. "Ill try and visit more, okay bro? And ill bring you more flowers next time too, k?"
I got up. "Later bro." I walked towards the exit, jumping the hole again and heading down the mountain.G pov
I was walking around to the oposite side of the mountain when i saw a beat up off roader just parked at the foot of the mountain. I could see a girl, a human, walking away from it and up the mountain. She carried a single flower. Her short black hair had grey and white stripes in it, and her skin was a bit pale. She went up the mountain stepping quiet. She knew the terrain. Weird. I followed her.
She went up till she reached a cave. The cave Frisk had fallen into the hole to the underground. She jumped the hole. Now i was curious. Why? She didnt really seem all that much of a threat. I wanted to kill her, but first, why was she on the mountain?
I listened. She seemmed to be talking to someone. I caught a bit of what she said.
"Hey bro....yknow me lonely as a raven...i help out whoever needs it...despite hating both sides...ill try and visit more....later bro." I heard her footsteps approaching and hid. She jumped over the hole again. She didnt have the flower anymore.
I waited till she'd gone before entering the cave. I walked to the back. There was a peice of stone put in the ground. It had a name.
"'Tobias Aris'," i read. There was a flower in front of it. It was a grave. "Thats why she came up here," i whispered.
I left the cave, following the girl. She got in the off roader and began heading past the mountain and towards an abandoned old town a good ways from here, about twenty minutes from here. She didnt notice as i teleported onto the roof of her vehicle. I held on and waited. Maybe she was going to meet others, that way i figured i could take out a bunch at once.
After a good twenty minutes, she stopped outside of a small battered house in mildly good shape. I watched as she grabbed things from her car, food and survival supplies. She carried it inside then came back and got more. This repeated two more times. She finally sighed, pulling out a backpack and muttering,"Time to scout the ruins, see if anyone, human or monster needs help. Ugh, even if i hope i run into nobody, seeing as i hate both." She began walking. "One killed my friends, the other killed my brother. Only fucking reason i help at all is cause i dont want anybody else to die." She went on walking, jumping and leaping across piles of rubble when she had to. She perked up when she heard a scream. She began to run towards where it came from. I followed in silence, watching the raven haired girl with sky blue eyes as she ran off towards the scream.
