Noah's POV

I didn't know what was happening. All I knew was that a little, shaken voice was hissing my name in the dead of night. I sat up in bed and looked around my bottom bunk, to be waken with the small face of Paisley, shaking with fear and with tears welling in her eyes. I groggily rubbed my eyes.
"Uhh?" I moaned. She tugged on my wrist, then full on yanked me out of dress and the cabin.
"What on Mount Olympus are you doing?!" I asked.
"The- The shore. There's a girl." She whispered, still pulling me towards the ocean. Where did she come up with this stuff? I rolled my eyes. But as we got nearer, I realized she wasn't joking. There was a girl with, curly, jet black hair lying on the sand. I stopped dead in my tracks, my heart sinking to my feet. I managed to choke out two words around the lump in my throat, yet I didn't even hear them. I started running to her, then slid on my knees. Callie. My best friend of about two weeks. It was Callie Jackson, the hero that had died in the war.
"Go!" I shouted at Paisley. "Go get Will!" She took off. Think Noah. Think. I took her pulse. Nothing. I laid her head in my lap and my hand on her chest. I felt the low, unsteady breath coursing through her. She was alive. I noticed my blue pajama pants were turning a deep purple. She was getting blood all over me. Will and some of my siblings were running towards me, two of my sisters running on their heels with a stretcher. They say the stretcher on the sand. I gently laid her head back down as Percy came running as fast as lightning over to us.
"Let me see her." He said, pushing people out the way. He grabbed her hand. I cleared my throat, he then noticed we were trying to move her to the stretcher, and grabbed her underneath her back. He helped us put her on, then started holding her hand again and whispering to her.
"1,2,3!" Will grunted as a signal for us to pick the stretcher with Callie on it up. We started walking in sync. Percy had to be held back by some of my brothers; Callie had to have emergency surgery. We rushed her in.
"The hidden corridor!" Will shouted. We rushed into the elevator, then had to wait for it to go down, which seemed to take decades. The doors finally opened as we rushed her threw. We ran into the first room that was available and slammed the door. I pulled a surgical mask over my nose and gloves over my hands. Will finally grabbed the scalpel and did the cutting. This was actually my first time to do and emergency surgery, or any surgery at all. I stood there with tweezers, waiting for instructions from Will and Harry, an 18 year old camper who was ongoing medical school.
"Get any bronze out of her stomach when we tell you to. Make sure it's ok ,because if not, it could cause permanent damage." Harry said. Will nodded agreeingly. I spotted the glinting bits of bronze right away. I looked up at Harry and raised my eyebrows at Will. He nodded once again and I started picking them out and putting them in a glass dish. This went on for six hours, everyone doing something different except me. At 6:00 am, we were through and exhausted. We all walked back to the cabins and fell into bed. I was exhausted, yet grinning and couldn't sleep. Callie Jackson, daughter of Poseidon, was back.

At 5:00 pm, I got back up, and jogged back to the infirmary. I opened the door to find Percy sitting on the floor, playing with the hem of his shirt, and Kat, sleeping in an armchair. Percy, apparently noticing me, jumped up.
"I want to see me sister." He said, crossing his arms.
"You're not supposed to." I said, trying to not make him mad.
  "And why not?" Kat asked.
"You didn't let me finish." I whispered. "You're not supposed to. But I can sneak you in. Follow me." We tiptoed past the sleeping secretary, and got into the elevator, Percy and Kat practically jumping with excitement. Kat really was. Rapidly rocking back and forth on her heels, she rambled on on about how excited she was.
"Calm down." I said. "She's still unconscious." I said. She finally shut up. I opened the door and let them in; Percy jumping into a chair and grabbing her hand. Kat was squatting beside her, whispering. She stirred.
"That- that's a first sign!" I said, running over beside Percy. Her heart rate was speeding up. Suddenly, to all of our delighted surprise, her eyes open. Terror went through her bright sea green eyes. She looked around.
"Percy!" She screamed as he almost tackled her she wrapped her arms around him. She was already crying. They were talking about everything, then she looked up.
"Kat! Noah!" She yelled. She tried to get up , but crumpled to the floor. Percy and I ran over and wrapped our arms around her, then laid her back on the bed. She was constantly wincing. I started to readjust her I.V. and bandages.
"Thanks." She said. "I'm still tired to be honest."
"Alright. If you need rest, get it. Do you want Percy and Kat to leave?" I asked.
"It's up to them." She mumbled, already half way asleep.
"We'll leave." Kat said.
"Yeah." Said Percy. They both left the room, as did I. I went running to get Will.
"Will!" I yelled. "She's woke up!"
"Oh great! That's awesome! We're gonna need to run some tests in a couple days." He said.
"Yeah, um ok. I'm going to check on her again." I said. I ran back to the infirmary and threw the door open.
"Callie woke up!" I yelled at Penelope.
"That's wonderful!" She replied. "I'll be down there to check on her in a couple hours."
"Alright." I said. I walked down to the elevator and got in. When the door opened, I ran through the corridor to her room. After calming down, I slowly opened the door. I walked in and closed it behind me. She was laying in the bed peacefully. I sat down in the chair in the corner and pulled out a sketch book. I was sketching the ocean. I drew for about fifteen minutes then looked up. She was flipping for side to side, her heartbeat rising, her face contorted. I walked over. She shot straight up breathing heavily, then burst into tears. I scrambled into the bed with her and embraced her. She soaked my shirt in tears, then looked up at me.
"Thanks." She said, wiping her nose. I laid back, her head lying on my shoulder.
"Noah, how long was I in Tartarus?" She said quietly.
"About a month." I replied, tears welling in my eyes just thinking about it.
"And did you believe I was dead?"
"Not for a second. You never were dead. We all thought you were in Elysium, already reincarnated."
"Oh. I'm still tired." She said.
"Me too. Just one more question. What did you see in your nightmare?" I asked.
"Tartarus himself." She said, sniffling. "He attacked me. But I got away. He said that something terrible was going to happen. But that was messaged through our minds. I don't know how."
"Oh. Go ahead and get some sleep. I'll protect you."
"Thanks." She whispered, already closing her eyes.
"Your welcome." I whispered back. I didn't protect her, being that I was asleep just as she was.
