• Chapter three! •

Baileys POV

Right now me and Joey were at a fancy restaurant for my birthday dinner, Joey of course ordered chicken, he always did like his "chicken-Anya".

I on the other hand order salad, and some water.

Me and Joey were just catching up on things and he was telling me about a new project he's working on called storytellers.

All I could do was listen, I could never do anything like that, I'm just a shy girl from Boston.

But neither of us brought up the kiss yet, after it happened we both just brushed it off and decided to go to dinner.

"Joey thank you for doing all of this for me, I couldn't ask for a better birthday!" I say.

"Um no bailey-Anya stop thanking me all the time! It's your birthday, I'm your best friend, it will make up for all of the birthdays I've missed."

He says taking a bite of chicken.

just as I'm about to say thank you for the millionth time my phone rings.

Joeys POV

Baileys phone starts ringing and she answers it.

"Oh...I'm so sorry! Please give me another chance.....please? I need this Job! I'm so sorry please...oh...alright bye" Bailey ends the phone call with a worried look on her face.

"You alright bailey?" I ask

She looks at me and starts crying,

"What's wrong bailey!" I ask grabbing her hand.

She calms down and starts talking, "it was my boss...I was supposed to work today, but I forgot when you came because I was so excited! I've already been late for work everyday, and she said I haven't been that great at the pet shop so she said...that I'm fired!" She says still crying.

I feel horrible! I've never been fired before, YouTube has always been my job.

"can we just go back to my apartment...please?" She asks.

"Yeah of course"

I pay the waiter then we both walk out to her car.

The car ride is silent, but now and then you hear faint sobs from bailey, she's really taking this job thing hard.

Once we get back at her apartment she instantly runs to her bedroom and slams the door.

"Bailey?" I ask as I knock on her door for the second time.

"Come in" she says.

I slowly open the door and I see her sitting on her bed In her pj's.

"You alright bailey bear?" I ask sitting next to her.

"I don't know Joey, it might not seem like a big deal but...I've had this job for a long time and if I didn't have it I don't know we're I would be right now, what am I going to do?" She says bursting into tears.

I pull her into a hug, rubbing her back to calm her down.

I suddenly get an idea...

"Hey bailey, I have an Idea," I say pulling away from the hug.

"What is it?" She says.

"What if you make a YouTube channel! Once we get to LA we can make you one, we can film a video together and that should start you off with some subscribers" I say smiling.

Her face instantly lights up and she hugs me and thanks me for the billionth time today.

We decide to start going to bed at 3am, we were up all night watching re-runs of pretty little liars. "We're am I going to sleep?" I asked Bailey, who was turning off the t.v.

She crinkled her nose, and said She could sleep on the couch and I could sleep in her bed.

"No no no no! I won't let you sleep on the couch," I demand walking over to her.

"We'll I'm not letting you sleep on the couch either" she says crossing her arms.

I think it's cute that she's so stubborn, I mean I know we're best friends but I just wish we were more than that, when we kissed I swear I felt a spark.

"We'll we can both sleep in my bed," she says.

"Okay, fine by me" I replied.

It won't be awkward between us because we've known each other for so long.

We both walk to her room and crawl under the covers. I was laying towards the wall and Bailey was turned the other way.

"Joey can I ask you something" she whispers turning to face me.

I turn to face her and I tell her she can tell me.

"When we kissed...did you feel anything?" She asked me. I paused and thought about it.

"I did, It felt so...right" I say smiling hoping she can see me in the dark.

I see her smile back and she turns over again. I do the same still smiling until I fall asleep thinking

about My beautiful best friend.
