Mark and I sit on the sofa in the living room of our floor. Ferdinand finally leaves the shower and is dressed in loose fitting clothes. His hair is still kind of wet and he plops himself on the beanbag seat next to me. Falafel and Cecelia enter the room chatting and they seat themselves next to Mark.

“The gamemakers are going to broadcast the scores in a couple minutes! Where on earth are the stylists?” Falafel says angrily.

Valencia finally enters with another woman wearing bright colours and has extremely dyed multicoloured hair.

“Valencia! Helena! You’re finally here!” Falafel says.

Valencia sits next to me and the woman named Helena sits next to Ferdinand while stroking his hair. I presume that she is Ferdinand’s stylist.

Falafel turns on the television and a female presenter appears. She says the name of the tribute, and as this happens, a photo of them flashes on the screen with their district number. The scores that each tribute receives is a score between 1 and 12. The higher the score, the better.

After the reporter announces the scores, the entire thing is shown in a huge list on screen.

Everyone cheers at our fantastic scores. Ferdinand’s score of 8 and my score of 9 may not be the best scores when compared to the career tributes and a couple of other outstanding tributes; however, it’s enough for us to be considered as the tougher tributes.

“Oh my goodness! This takes a huge weight off my shoulders,” sighs Falafel while typing away on her phone, “If you both had gotten terrible scores, I would have had to go around to all my wealthy socialite friends and convince them that you both were pretending to be weak to trick the other tributes.”
