"Hey hey where are you going? Stop right there!" Nick Amaro grabs her arm forcing Ariel to look in his eyes. "You should be ashamed, my mother told you and you never told me about this! You knew how much I suffered, this isn't fair! You and my mum are out of my life, I thought our relationship was based on sincerity too but I was wrong... you lied to me about cheating and now this... Nick you are sick to me now, I'm going back home and I don't want to see your face again!" Ariel after shouting all the words said and letting tears rolls down her face, she walks away with heavy footsteps on the ground keeping warm with her arms wrapped around her body. "Ariel wait! Please!" Nick lets his two arms fall on the side, he takes a deep breath walking back inside the hospital. "Is someone in Liv's room right now?" Nick asks at Rollins pointing Olivia's room, Finn and Amanda send themselves a confused look. "Nick what's happening?" Amanda asked but Nick stormed in the room closing the door behind him, Olivia was talking to Voight who was standing in front of the window looking outside. "Thanks to you Ariel doesn't want to see me and you again, she is going back to Chicago!" Nick shouts at her who has red eyes from crying. "I'm sorry..." She whispers. "Is that all you can say?!" Hank turns around with his usual serious expression, he feel shocked and at the same time happy. He's confused too. "It was just one night stand Olivia... That was it and you come and tell me Ariel is my daughter?" Voight says walking towards Olivia, she bites her bottom lip closing her eyes. "I forgot to take the pill and Camille just died... Justin was sad that he lost his mother and you... you were depressed... Hank I always loved you and wanted you..."
"What lies did you tell her?" Hank is acting coldly, he is happy but not impressed of Olivia's lie for all these years. "She never liked to have a birthday party till now..." Nick rolls his eyes by walking towards the window. "Why?" Voight asks. "On her 7th birthday, the imaginary dad was on a mission, she kept asking about him and if he was going to come, I came up with an idea to make her stop asking about her dad... I told Ariel he got shot on her 7th birthday. From that day, she always hated that day and she wished it would never come." Hank was speechless, his heart stopped a beat and his eyes were full of tears. "I can't believe what you did to not say who her father was! Olivia you must be ashamed of yourself, you ruined her day and most importantly her life!"
"Hank but you were in a difficult fase, you were alone with Justin, you didn't need to have another bad news on your shoulders!" Voight raises his eyebrow and locks his bottom lip, his anger was reaching the limit. "Bad news? Ariel is bad news for me?" She nods, Nick was simply looking at Ariel's horrible mother who lied to her for years. "Ariel is the thing that I love most in my life with Justin, Olive and my grandson Daniel. I will love her and stay beside her to not loose a moment with my daughter, for all these years she was alone and poor girl she was sad seeing other girls with their dads but this time everything is going to change. Mark my words Olivia, you won't get near Ariel again, you hear me?" Olivi remains in silence trying to send down the heavy words Voight said. "I never told Ariel because I was scared to hurt her feelings and I wasn't the person to tell the truth. I'm sorry about it but I did the right thing not telling her." Nick explains looking deeply in Benson's eyes, Voight walks away in silence by slamming the door behind him.
As Voight walks through New York's streets, he takes a deep breath and thinks about his daughter Ariel. He wants to spend all his time with her, gain all the time to full the empty ones when Voight wasn't there. Hank is proud to be Ariel's dad, Ariel Voight sounds cool he thinks. A little smiles escapes his lips as his mind returns back to Olivia. Why did she do this to them? Voight raises his hand out to call the yellow taxi from the distance, it stops right in front of him and gets in. "Good morning sir, where shall I take you?" Voight looks at the little mirror meeting the taxi driver's eyes. "Airport please." The man nods getting in the New York traffic. "So are you from these parts sir?" Voight looks out of the window with his mind going on to Ariel, he wants to get there in time to meet up with his daughter. "No, I'm from Chicago and you?" He tries to be friendly with the man even if Voight isn't in the right mood to make friends with a total stranger. "I'm from Chicago too but I moved here for personal reasons, what's your name?" Hank gives him a small smile knowing he has a Chicago citizen in the car. "Hank Voight, I'm the sergeant of Distrci 21..." The both shake hands quickly so the Matt could drive properly. "Why are you so down Hank?" Hank is lost in his thoughts, he lifts his head up as the man asks him that question. "I'm reaching my daughter at the airport..." Mat nods turning around the roundabout. "So you have your daughter too here huh?"
"Yeah, my beautiful daughter..."
"She must be... what's her name?"
"Ariel." Hank smiles imagining Ariel's face, her beautiful smile that she took from Olivia. "She's a beautiful princess and I love her so much..." he knows that it's too early to say this stuff but Hank feels a kind of connection with this girl who entered in his district. In a certain point he thought that Olivia asked him to add Ariel in his unit just to stay with him and meet her. He wants to know more about her, about what she likes doing and what she hates.
"I see you love her so much like every dad does..."
"I just discovered today that Ariel was my daughter..." The man looks back at Voight who has a tiny tear running down his cheek. "Sorry..." Hank notices and he quickly wipes off his tears. "Hey man it's ok crying and taking out all your emotions with a stranger, I don't know you and you don't know me, it's simple... I have two kids from another woman and my wife doesn't know so, I fucked up!" The both laugh as Matt parks in front of the terminal. "How.much is it kid?" Voight takes out his dollars from his back side pocket of his black jeans. "No no, nothing for you my friend, it's cool and I treat my Chicago friends!" He winked and Voight pats his shoulder as he gets out of the car. He takes a looks inside of the terminal see if he spots out Ariel. Finally, after a few minutes, Voight spots Ariel in line for the check-in. He walks his way towards his daughter, she is too distracted from the people who are talking loud at the front, a huge family on holiday Voight thinks. "Hey..." He whispers as he reaches her, Ariel turns around to look at her dad and the turns around again staring at the noisy family. "I'm not in the mood..." She spits, his heart breaks into tiny little pieces, she is so hurt and Voight can see it. Ariel's cell goes off and she grabs it in her trembling hands, it's Antonio. "Aren't you going to answer it?" She doesn't respond, she just rejects the call and places her cell back in her pocket. For all the times Voight said no of having a relationship with Ariel now it's worse, now Ariel is his daughter and he will protect her from every guy of the district that has a move on his little star. "Ariel why are you angry with me? You should be angry with your mother who didn't bother to tell you. Please don't act like this, I want to make this up to you and I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, Ariel..." She turns around crossing her arms, Ariel looks straight in Hank's eyes deeply. "You have a family and you won't have time with me." Hank grabs her hand, she tries to let go but Voight tightens his grip. "No, don't talk bullshit. I want you in my life and I will treat you the same as Justin and Erin... I will love you and have good time with you, Ariel. I don't wanna miss a thing, a happy moment or sad moments where I will be there by your side." Ariel doesn't speak or move, he notices a tear run down her cheek, her face turns red and she bursts out crying. "Dad!" She leans in for a big hug with Voight, all the people are staring and talking. "I promise you I will never leave you, now that I know you are my daughter, I will protect you and love you." Voight whispers in Ariel's ear, as they leave the hug, they notice it was their turn.
With the check-in done and other stuff, they both take places on the plane off to Chicago. It was a long journey where the two could catch up on so many things.
