Chapter 2

The next morning

Nicole's POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I yawn and looked at the time. i dont know why i looked at the time because i always wake up at 5:00 to make breakfast for Riley. i hopped out of my bed and slipped on my slipper and headed to the kitchen. i opened the fridge. "Hmm... what should i make..." i decided to make cinnamon rolls, which was Riley's favorite. Blah blah blah... skip to when im done and waking up Riley. As usual, she hops out with a smile, and runs to the kitchen. And guess what she says... " OH BOY!" She scarfs down the cinnamon rolls. As she's eating, we talk about school. Riley: " Wait... you have 8 classes?!" I nod. Riley: " Oh wow! That is a lot of work..." and she takes another bite out of the cinnamon roll.

Riley: " That was good, as always." She grins. Nicole: " I'm glad you liked it... now lets get dressed?" She runs to her room and i follow. I pick out an outfit while she goes to brush her teeth. I picked a pair of leggings and a shirtdress with her black nikes. * Skip to when she drops her off at school* Nicole: Here's your lunch! Have a nice day i love you lots!" Riley: " I love you too, Coley." She runs inside the building. I return home and get dressed (above) and packed my lunch. I headed out the door with my lunch, bag, phone and car keys.

i have my first period, which is Social Studies. i walked in and sat down. Right before the bell rung, a boy with brown hair and pink highlights walked in and sat by me.  Mr.Brown: "Oh Ethan Dolan? i'm supposed to introduce you." The boy raised his hand. Ethan. Hmm. Mr.Brown: " Oh yeah, Ethan is new here."What a nice way of introducing him. Like we couldn't tell he was new... Mr.Brown started the lesson. i was writing down notes and looking up at the board. All of the sudden, Ethan whispered to me. Ethan: " Hi, whats your name?" he whispered. Nicole: " Nicole." Ethan: " I'm Ethan." Nicole: " Yeah, i heard..." Ethan: " Wanna be friends?" i nodded. Nicole: " Sure, meet me at lunch." We didn't talk about anything else after that, just wrote down notes. Eventually, the bell rung for second period Ethan followed me out to the hallway. Ethan: " Hey Nicole!" i spun around and saw Ethan. Ethan: " Let's see what classes we have together, if we even  any..." i gave him my schedule. Ethan: " We have 1st, 4th, 6th and 8th period together." Nicole: " Cool." Ethan: " Well see you in 4th" and he walked away to 2 period. He seemed nice, maybe we could be friends. 2nd and 3rd period were over pretty fast. Now i have science with Ethan. We both got there 4 minutes before the bell was supposed to ring, so we talked. Nicole: " How come you came here today and not yesterday?" Ethan: " I was sick yesterday with my brother." Nicole: " Oh you have A brother?"  " Yeah actually, he's my twin brother. Grayson." I finally spoke.  Nicole: " Wanna come over today?"  " Yeah sounds good. Let me ask my mom." He texted his mom. Ethan: " She said its fine."

4 period was finally over and Ethan and i went to lunch. We sat with my usual people. Samantha: " Who's the new kid?" Nicole: " Ethan. He is going to be with us a lot." We ate and talked and laughed. I hope Ethan likes my friends. After lunch, we headed to our 5th period. nothing special happened. then 6 period with Ethan. nothing special. I am having a very boring day. 7 period tho, someone got into a fight. of course it was the drama queens. it was hilarious to watch two girls rip each others hair out in the middle of LA. The teacher couldn't even separate them. i sighed of relief when the bell rung to go to 8 period... i really wan to see Riley. My 8 is gym and im excited. Today we are playing volleyball, which is what i do. i love volleyball. But i think the gym teacher only wants us to do it so he could see everyone et smacked in the face with the ball... Ethan was NOT doing good. He was my partner on the other side of the net and he looks like he has never before seen or heard of volleyball. I of course helped him. There was 5 minutes until the bell would ring to go home so we all went in the locker rooms to shower. i got out as quick as possible because there are some girls that REALLY think its okay to look at your...things, while showering...

* Ethans in her car*

Nicole: " i have to pick up Riley." He nodded, but looked confused. I got out of the car to put her in her seat. While i buckled her in she spoke. Riley: " Who's that?" She said eyeing him. Nicole: " That's Ethan, he is going to come to our house." Riley: " Oh boy, can i show him my barbies?!" i nod and laughed. i got in the car and started driving. When we got inside, Ethan stared in aw. We sat down and Riley went to get her barbies. Ethan: " So um... you didn't tell me you had a daughter..." i laughed. Nicole: " Did i not tell you? i guess not... she's my little sister." He laughed. Ethan: " Oh sorry... where's your parents. i saw that you didnt text or call one of them to tell them that im coming over." I looked down. Nicole: " Um.... ...... ..... they're dead....." Ethan: " Oh my god im sooo sorry for asking." Nicole: " No, its fine." Riley came back with her dolls. Riley: " ok before i show you i have to give something to Coley." He nodded and smiled. She pulled out a paper heart, a picture she drew of me, and a poem. Nicole: " AW! Riles' this is so sweet." Riley: " i know right! Wanna hear my poem i msde for you?" Nicole: " yep!" Riley starts. Riley: " I love Nicole. She takes care of me and tells me that my mommy and daddy are coming back from vacation, but i know that they aren't. They passed away, and Coley never shows that she misses them. Except at night. When i can hear her crying. I miss my mommy and daddy, but Coley makes me forget about what happened by playing with me. She makes sure i have what i need and gives me what i want. I could never ask for a better sister. That is why i love Nicole." A tear slipped from my face but i quickly wiped my face. Nicole: " I loved it Riles'... I'll be right back..." I ran to my bedroom and into the bathroom and cried. i can't believe she knows.  i wiped my face after 2 minutes of crying, and reapplied my makeup. i walked out and saw Ethan playing dolls with Riley. She was giggling with Ethan. i walked over to Riles' and sat down by her. Nicole: " Riley, im sorry i lied." Riley: " No, dont be sorry... you had to so i wouldnt cry but im okay now." she said with a smile. i hugged her. Nicole: " Riley are you hungry?" Riley's stomach grumbled and she looked at me and laughed. Nicole: " i'll take that as a yes. Ethan?" Ethan: " Yeah im always hungry hahaha." Nicole: " Same."

I made spaghetti and meatballs for us 3. when we were done, it was 4:30. I heard a knock on the door. It was Mrs. James with her twins. Nicole: " Hi Mrs.James, Come in?"  Mrs.James: " Im afraid i can't right now, i have to go to an emergency meeting... sorry for dropping the girls off 3 hours early." Nicole: " it's fine!" Mrs. James: " Go on girls, go find Riley... Bye love you two... bye Nicole!"  i waved and she speed walked to her car. i shut the door. Ethan was confused again, i could tell.... Riley and the twins went to her room to play with the barbies and i sat by Ethan. Nicole: " There's a lot i need to tell you." i Laughed. Ethan: " Yeah you do haha tell me everything."  I took a deep breath in and started. Nicole: My middle name is Elizabeth, i have a 5 year old sister that i care for, my parents died 2 months ago, im 16 years old, my birthday is October 19, 1999, Im an straight A student, ive never had a grade lower than a B-, I have about 33,000,000 subscribers on youtube, i babysit twins on monday,tuesday and thursday and I play volleyball." his mouth dropped. Ethan: " Your youtube famous?" I nodded. Ethan: " i am to..."
