After the little confrontation from Derek, I earned myself stares and gasps as I walked into chemistry class. Mutters arose but I have learnt to simply push it off my shoulder and ignored their presences. After Luke had walked into my life, I began to change and to my surprise, Derek had made it known to everyone that he, the big bad Alpha, had rejected his mate. Shame and disgrace was brought upon my family and they all resorted to shunning me out, not wanting to be involve with the 'rejected'. I cried. A lot. But now, I'm different; I'd never let it get to me again, Luke taught me that. I walked to my usual seat, at the back of the class and felt the tension died down a bit. It was until Derek kicked the door open with great force, and unexpectedly the door didn't break, only budged a bit. I glanced at his vulgar behaviour for a brief while before breaking the eye contact we shared. I noticed how the teacher and the other students, lowered their head as they shook a bit from sensing the anger released by their Alpha. Not wanting to admit it, I was a little surprised myself, but it was necessary to ignore it in case he figured my weakness.

He escorted himself to the back of the room and sat at the table, the opposite side of the room to me. Out of the corner of my eyes, I felt his gaze linger in my direction; my wolf awakened as it was thrilled about the attention she was getting from her mate, something she had missed a lot, even though it never really happened. Unknowingly, I felt myself began to flush. Feeling irritated from him still studying me, I snapped my head in his direction and glared at him. As if he had found my weakness, his playboy smirk was formed at the corner of his delicious looking lips. Wait, what? I should not be thinking this! While appearing to be reading my mind, his eyes showed a glint of mischievousness. Before I could not control my wolf any longer, I bite my tongue violently, which helped snap me into reality. I noticed how Derek flinched as I realised he had felt my pain. Concern and anxiousness flashed across his very handsome face as he seemingly held himself to stay in the chair. A low sneered escaped my mouth and I turned around to glance out the window, ignoring his distressing gaze, everybody in the class...and simply everything that the world held dear.

The wailing siren brought me back to reality and I hastily scrambled out of my seat and out the door within seconds. I caught a glimpse of Derek who looked like he was attempting to stop me in my path but my determination was quicker. I made my way across the hall to my English class. But because I was moving at a speedy pace, I was caused to bump into another person. My head hit hard with a significant force that it ached a little. Who the hell is this guy?

"Sorry, are you okay?" his familiar deep and solid voice asked in manners.

"What, you eat bricks for breakfast or something?" I sneered sarcastically.

"For a matter of fact, I don't eat bricks for breakfast, but I'll take that as a compliment," I looked up to meet with a pair of familiar green eyes.

"Luke?"

"Mr Colton to you young lady," he corrected as his squeezed my nose as if dealing with a two year old.

"Well, Mr Colton, what are you doing here?" I asked in alarm.

"I applied as a gym teacher,"

"You can't!" I demanded.

"Why not?" he questioned confusingly. Because I don't want your head ripped off and your body fed to a pack of hungry wolves.
