Chapter Twenty Seven===This is your last chance, or you die.

[Katelyn's POV]

We had made it! At the front of the house, it stated it was house #229 on the street Vil-Land. I Breath heavily and unlock the door slowly, and I peek inside.

Nobody was there to surprisingly greet us, nor hurt us in that matter...

"What?" I step inside and glance around the room "Nobody is even here!"

Johnny glances down a set of stairs and nudges me, "What about there? Could anybody be there?"

I peer down and hesitantly step down the steps, "Hello?" I look the walls up and down "Is anybody home?"

"What are you doing?" Johnny grabs my wrist.

"Move the hand or lose the hand" I threatened.

He pulls his hand back to himself and crosses his arms "If anybody's even here, wouldn't they be armed? This is a kidnapper we're tracking down, isn't it?"

I nervously chuckle "Yeah, I see your point... But what if this is the wrong house?"

We both step down into the room and notice a chair which was a bit rusty with a fair amount of blood drenched down the headboard.

"This---This isn't the wrong house..." I stare at the chair with wide eyes.

Just then, we both heard a SLAM! Like someone had slammed a door shut.

"Oh crap," I whispered "We need to get out, like now!"

"Well duh, don't you think I know that?" Johnny sassed.

I punch him lightly "Stop this! This is not the time to fight!"

We both rush into the darkest corner and kneel down, as a large man enters the room and it darkens a bit more.

"I specifically told you not to let her leave!" A woman yells "She cannot let anybody know that this happened!"

"I know," The man complains "But she just---left!"

The woman grunts "YOU IDIOT!" She slaps him and turns away "Now you have to get her, AGAIN! How exactly are you gonna do that?"

There was silence.

"My point exactly," She faces him "You cannot"

"I can!" The man puffs out his chest "And I will!"

The woman laughs "Fine. This is your last chance, or you die"

The man nods and walks up the steps as the woman follows him.

Johnny and I slowly walk o the doorway and peer up at them.

"I heard she talked to Ms. Meredith Winkle," She opens the front door "Then got on bus 423?"

"Correct" The man stated, before shutting the door behind him.

"I'm gonna kill 'em" I said calmly, as I climb the steps.

Johnny and I searched the whole house, or what we know of it anyway.

Every room except for the library I stood before.

"I'm going in" I stated.

"What?!" Johnny jumps in front of me "What if someone's in there?!"

"Then they would've heard your blabbing, now wouldn't they?"

Johnny looks down at his feet before stepping to the side."Heh," I laughed "Thought so"
