((Taka's POV))
Taka:*I walked into the Dining Hall at the usual time for breakfast. Naegi, Hina, Celeste, Hifumi, Toko, Hiro, Sakura, and Kyoko were already there. Naegi noticed me first.*
Makoto:*smiles* Good Morning, Taka.
Taka:*I gave him a curt nod* Morning. Is Akemi here? *I looked around, but couldn't find her.*
Hiro:Haven't seen her, bro.
Hina:Me either.
Sakura:Nor I.
Byakuya:*walks in last, as usual*
Taka:*I walked by him, not even bothering to ask.* I'll check her room. Hopefully she's okay! *I ran out of the Dining Hall and arrived at Akemi's room. I opened the door and...Despair took the very breath from my body.*
*play body discovery theme*
Akemi:*covered in blood. On the wall behind her, written in blood, are the words "I couldn't protect him"*
Taka:*I gasped and ran to her* Akemi!!! *I grabbed her wrist and checked her pulse. I sighed with relief as I found one. But it was faint, and I knew I had to hurry!* Don't do this now! This isn't what Mondo would have wanted for you! *I ripped the blanket and used it as a makeshift bandage for her wrists. Then, I picked her up and ran to the Infirmary*
Akemi:*voice weak and hoarse* T...Taka...I'm...I'm sorry...
Taka:*I began to cry* Don't be,,,I understand what you've been through.
-flashback ((No one's POV))-
((AN:I know this flashback never happened in the anime, so please don't pick me apart for this. It is a flashback that TheSaiyanJedi5 and I came up with. Thanks a lot for helping me with the dialogue and this flashback. It really helps!))
Taka:*walks to his friend's house to walk with her to school* Mina? It's time to go.
Mina:*about to hang herself* Taka...Just go on without me...I'm not going to school today.
Taka:*frowns* You can't just skip school! I know it may not be fun, but it's essential for all to learn!
Mina:I'm not skipping school...I'm never going back. Taka...Thank you. No matter what happened...You stuck by me. You're a...true friend...Thank you. For everything. *tightens the rope around her neck and kicks aside the chair, killing herself instantly*
Taka:*screams as he cries*
-End Flashback-
((Taka's POV))
Akemi:She...was right. You're a...True friend...A very....Loyal friend...*breathing slows* Thank you...Ta...ka...*closes her eyes and dies*
Taka:*I gasped as I felt her body fall limp in my arms. Just like that, she was gone. Akemi Minako, the girl I vowed so solemnly to protect...Was now dead in my arms. All I could do...Was hold her close and cry. Soon after that, I walked into the Dining Hall for all to see and collapsed to my knees in front of everyone.*
Makoto:*rushes over* Ishimaru!!! *he shook me gently* Come on man, talk to us! What happened?!
Taka:*I cried and held Akemi's body close* She....She..! *I trailed off, sobbing*
Hina:Oh my gosh, she's dead!!!!!
Monokuma:*appears on the monitor* A body has been discovered! After a short investigation, the Class Trial will begin!
Byakuya:*smirks* I knew she'd be the next to die. She was too weak.
Taka:*Before I knew it, I had put Akemi's body aside and punched Togami in his nose*
Byakuya:*nose bleeding* Gr! What's your problem, Ishimaru?!
Makoto:Taka...
Taka:*I let him have it. I screamed every curse word in Japanese I knew at him*
Makoto:Taka, enough. We need to find out who killed her. Let's look at the Monokuma File. *reads it* "The victim is Akemi Minako. Time of death, roughly around 8:00 A.M. She died in the arms of classmate Kyotaka Ishimaru. She has lacerations on both wrists. The fatal wound is a stab wound to the chest. Essentially, she bled out."
Taka:*I dried my eyes* I think she killed herself. I saw a note that said, "I couldn't protect him.".
Makoto:We don't know that for sure. Someone else could've wrote the dying message. Let's look for clues. *turns to me* Taka, where did you find her? That has to be the crime scene.
Taka:In her room. She was lying in the bathroom when I saw her.
Makoto:Let's go.
-Akemi's Room-
Makoto:*gasps at the sight* It's...horrible! There's blood everywhere!
Kyoko:*examines the floor* It looks like there are two weapons. A small needle and a knife. Looks like the knife is a pocketknife.
Sakura:But did it belong to the killer or to Akemi?
Taka:*I suddenly remembered* It belonged to her. She showed it to me one day.
Makoto:Okay, so it was Akemi's knife. Let's see...*looks at the bathroom wall* There's also the dying message. "I couldn't protect him". Okay so...The knife is the murder weapon, but what was the needle for? None of this makes sense!
Taka:*And just when we were about to keep searching...*
*Ding dong, dong ding!*
Monokuma:Alright, my peeps! That's enough sleuthing for today! It's time for the Class Trial!
Taka:*I cursed under my breath* The Investigations get shorter and shorter...*I walked downstairs to the courtroom with the others.*

Akemi:*watches as a ghost, worried* Taka...
