"Who is this?" Flyingleaf asked the cats.
"This is Greer." Frostwing mewed. Hummingclaw eyed the she-cat. "Why is she here?" He asked.
"We found her while hunting." Goldenheart replied.
"Again why is she here?" The tom asked.
"I left the Twolegplace cats. I am a wanderer now." Greer replied.
"Hmmm."
Greer stood still, but her fear scent started to drift slightly.
"Ok come in you guys you'll catch a cold." Hummingclaw mewed.
They padded inside the camp. Greer kept close to Goldenheart, her head near her shoulder as some cats stared at her.
"Come on let's go find Crimsonstar." She meowed.
Crimsonstar was walking around camp when he saw her.
"Crimsonstar."
"Goldenheart? Who is this cat? We have Solitaire here already.." He mewed.
"Her name is Greer she wants to join us." She replied.
"Hmm." Crimsonstar started to eye the dark brown tabby.
She blinked at the tom, who had scars from long past battles on his russet colored pelt.
"You know what the rule is when receiving new members of ScarClan Goldenheart. She'll have to prove herself first." He mewed.
Greer was licking at the claw-marks in her pelt again, a sign that they seemed to be bothering her.
"Now hold on there Crimsonstar, those cuts look really deep. She needs to those tended to before they get something in them and we don't need an infected cat." Emperess mewed. The tom nodded. "Of course Emperess. Slatetooth, Blazetoe, and Hummingclaw and I will discuss on this." He told her.
Goldenheart watched Greer follow behind the older medicine cat to Reedeye. He was Silverwing's brother, which made them kin to each other. The young warrior padded up to the fresh-kill pile and got a small bird in her jaws.
Greer looked back at her and smiled. Goldenheart jumped as Frostwing appeared beside her. "I don't know about Greer Goldenheart... Hummingclaw was right to ask about her being here.." She mewed to where only she could hear.
"You shouldn't say that anycat could change!" She yowled at how Frostwing could say something about a cat she had just met.
"I guess you're right." The black and white she-cat mewed. Goldenheart smiled.
"But, what if some cats can't change? Then what?" She mewed hesitantly. "Every cat has some good in them. You just have to show them." The calico replied.
Frostwing's tail twitched a little. "Like I said earlier, I guess you're right." She admitted.
"Is everything okay?" Goldenheart asked.
"Yeah, it's just me and Meadowstripe overheard Flyingleaf and Slatettooth talking about Solitaire.." She replied. "Alright what about her?" The warrior asked in wonder.
"They mostly brung up how Shadowtuft has been spending a lot of time with her." She looked down as she told her this.
"Ok. And that concerns you because?" Goldenheart tilted her head confused. "N-No reason! You know how Shadowtuft's a flirt.." Frostwing meowed.
Goldenheart said nothing but smiled. "Why are you smiling?" She asked. "Nooooo reason." She replied in a sing-song-voice.
"Want to give some fresh-kill to Dawnshade and Mousenose?" She suggested.
"Hm why not." Goldenheart trotted over to the heap of prey getting a squirrel.
Mousenose was seen awkwardly sitting beside Dawnshade and Blueheart. Frostwing gave Mousenose a blackbird. "Thank you!" The ginger queen chirped happily as she nibbled on the creature. Dawnshade shifted slightly looking down at her half eaten squirrel.
"Are you going to dispose of that?" Blueheart asked the she-cat.
"At least I don't steal things that were once mine.." Dawnshade rumbled. Goldenheart looked confused. Blueheart stood to her paws and stormed off, a growl of anger rumbling in her throat. Emeraldpaw got up from her conversation with Swiftpaw and padded after her mother. "Blueheart?" She asked.
"Yes?" She turned her head to look at her daughter.
"Is everything okay?" The silver tabby asked her mother.
"Me and Dawnshade just had... Words." The blue/gray she-cat replied after a long pause.
"What do you mean?"
"You'll understand when you're older Emeraldpaw.." She mewed to her daughter.
"I can understand now!" She blurted out.
Blueheart looked surprised by her daughter's outburst.
"Sorry mother..." Emeraldpaw apologized.
"It's alright my daughter.." She mewed licking her ear gently.
"But mother...why is she mean?" The apprentice asked.
"I guess it's my own fault that I never told you about Dawnshade.." The she-cat mrowed.
"Why?" Her daughter asked.
"Dawnshade, is my sister.." She meowed.
