Chapter 3
Lena: I looked at Lisa in the seat across from the door . My friends went and sat in the back. Looking at Lisa I walked away from her and toured an empty seat by my friend Sydney.
Lisa: all I could think about was the look Lena gave me the entire class time. She wants nothing to do with me. The embarrassment was all over her face . She was embarrassed that I was deaf . Embraced that I'm her other half . Embarrassed that I was in her class in front of her friends that thought I was less than her . I wanted to cry but I would . No matter how many rude stairs I got .
LUNCH TIME
Lisa: walking threw the cafeteria I had no clue were to sit . Picking a random seat I sat near a window over looking the 🚌 bus lanes. Opening my lunch bag I waited to see if anyone would sit with me.
Threw out the day no one would talk with me. Because of my hearing aids most people must have thought I would understand them and didn't even try to communicate me.
After sitting by myself for a few minutes I saw Lena walk in to the room with her friends. They grabbed seats across the cafeteria from me. Most of the girls in the group would look at me then bow there heads in laughter.
