"Alright, alright class settle down!" the Civics teacher said. "Settle down and pay attention..."

"You see that kid over there?" Judith whispered to Connor as she pointed to a boy with snow white skin.

The boy was leaned back in his chair, feet rested on his desk, lightly wiggling one in the air, eyes closed as he took a relaxed breath in and out.

"He looks really shady to me."

The boy looked over to the two, he winked at Connor and went back to halfway looking up at the ceiling.

Connor hid his smile and flushed face under his light purple sweater and turned his body away from the boy's direction.

"I think he's kind of cute." he mumbled.

Judith rolled her eyes and lightly shook her head after staring with untrusting, squinted eyes at the boy and turned her body back around to face the teacher.

"Alright everyone, today's Wednesday, and you know what that means, current events!" the teacher beamed. "Now, who has a current event for me?"

Bunches of students excitedly raised their hands, this was an abnormality in the teacher's class.

"One that's NOT about the man who was eaten alive on the boulevards of Steven and Bravest."

Sucking of teeth, hisses, and groans were heard all across the classroom.

"Oh come on! We've been hearing that broadcast on the news for the past two days!" the teacher angrily exclaimed.

"But can't we use that as our current event?" whined one student.

"Yeah! That story's juicy!" exclaimed another.

"NO!" Connor exclaimed furiously, standing up from his seat, his fingernails dragging across his desk, curling up wood as they did so. Yellow irises formed around his pupils.

Judith lightly tugged at the end of his light purple sweater. He looked at her, she shook her head.

The low growl in his throat stopped, the irises faded back to black. He looked at his teacher and shocked students.

"I mean...I'm sick of hearing about it too. Isn't the news enough?" he said in a more calm and timid manner.

The rest of the class except Judith and Henry looked at him with disgust. Henry was sickened but curious, Judith was just concerned.

Why is he so defensive of this case...? they both thought.

Connor sat back in his seat with folded arms and a frown on his face. The rest of the class turned around, facing the teacher.

Civics soon came to an end. The whole class fleeted out of the room. Sherri was standing by, waiting for Judith and Connor.

The two were the last out of the room, with Henry close behind Connor.

"Hey." Henry grabbed Connor's hand while saying it.

Connor turned around and blushed when he saw him.

"H-hi..." he muttered timidly while hiding his mouth under his sweater.

"Hey Connor! You comin'?" Sherri asked.

"Yeah...in a little bit." Connor mumbled with Judith and Sherri still able to hear him. He made a shooing motion to the two. "Wait for me, I'll catch up..."

Judith shook her head, Sherri just raised an eyebrow. They both shrugged their shoulders and slowly made their way to their classes.

"Is it me or does that guy Connor's with seem shady?" Sherri asked.
