The Plan is to Crash

Sherri met up with Judith at her house after school. The two were cooped up in Judith's room. Judith herself was frantically pacing while panicked muttering stemmed from her mouth.

Sherri was sitting on her bed, sweat dripping from her temple while deep in thought. About how they were going to get Connor back, how they were going to stop Henry, how they were going to help Connor recover from his traumatic experience once it was all over.

But she couldn't get her mental plan together fully due to her friend's nervous tirade.

"Ay Judi, I don't mean to be rude, but can you take the hysteria down a couple notches? I'm trying to think." she said with a little agitation in her voice.

"I'm sorry Sherri." Judith sighed heavily while running frustrated hands through her red hair and plopping to the ground. "It's just, I'm worried about Connor. I mean, who knows what Henry could be saying or doing to him as we speak?"

Sherri didn't want to think about that, she just wanted to focus on an escape plan for their friend.

"I know Judi. I'm worried about him too." she said.

"And he's already on thin ice because we at least have an idea of what's going on." Judith choked. "And now his mother is dead...I don't want him to die because of us!"

"HE WON'T JUDI!" Sherri blurted angrily as she slammed her fists on the bed.

Her reaction caused Judith to jump.

"He won't." Sherri said again, only calmer. "Because we're not gonna let that happen."

"But what can we do?" Judith asked glumly. "We're just teenagers."

"Um excuse you, I'm legally an adult. You're still the teen being sixteen." Sherri said with a chuckle. "Besides, Henry's a teen too. Younger than you. A spoiled little rich teen boy at that."

"Your point?" Judith laughed.

"My point is, we can take him." Sherri said confidently, standing up and pretending to flex. "Head on too."

"What?! Sherri are you nuts?!" Judith blurted. "The boy's got weapons! And you've seen his closet! There's literal skeletons in there! He's a fucking madman!"

Sherri cringed thinking back to Henry's closet the day they broke into his house to save Connor the first time.

"Besides, how are we supposed to take HIM head on?"

"Okay, lemme get this straight, you're afraid of Henry now because he has Connor?" Sherri asked.

"Yes." Judith admitted with slight shame.

"I understand." said Sherri. "But we've got to do this Judi, we can't let him be trapped there forever. I'm pretty sure he had his whole life planned out until this douchebag came along."

"You're right." Judith said. "I'm just stumped on ideas. Do you have any after all the thinking you've been doing?"

"Actually yes, but it's a work in progress." Sherri said. "Now, what does Henry love more than anything?"

"His 'pets'." Judith said with nausea in her voice while making air quotes.

"No. His property." Sherri said. "So I was thinking maybe one of two things: 1.) sneak into his house again, find his possessions and threaten to destroy them, and have Connor for ransom 2.) we simple wreck his house."

"I like the second idea, it sounds easier." Judith said. "But you can't just wreck his house, he'll report it."

"I never said we would do it while he was at his house." Sherri said with a devious smile on her face. "We'll wait for a specific time of the year, say spring, and wait for him to go on an outing, get nice and settled, then trash it, get Connor, face Henry when he comes back to his house, and BAM, all's well."
