~This part to the chapter is kinda important. Also pictures of Tyler's outfit is attached.~

Three hours later, I had everything that I needed packed into three bags: one for my clothes, one for other stuff like shampoo and shit like that, and one with my technology stuff. I wasn't about to leave that behind.

At this point, dad was at work and mom was passed out in her room. I texted each of them the same thing:

Me: I'm going to Seattle and staying with Chris. Call me whenever if you want.

I figured I might as well get dressed into something that I haven't been wearing for two days, and actually take a shower. When I got out of the shower, I got dressed in the clothes that I had sitting on the bathroom counter by the sink. It was a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a normal dark grey t-shirt. I literally almost walked out of the door without shoes on, but luckily I remembered when I saw my black high-top Vans sitting by the front door. Good thing I was too lazy to put them away the last time I actually went out.

Of course I remember to put on my favourite Vans snapback, but I can't remember to put on the actual fucking shoes. I wasn't completely ready to go until I grabbed my galaxy printed penny board. It had a black deck with the galaxy pattern on the bottom and purple wheels. This was my baby when I loved being outside, and I didn't realise how much I missed it until now. I even have a name for it, which is Oliver. I don't know why I chose "Oliver" for the name but I did, so stop judging me. ToT

When I waited outside for the car to pull up, I realised it was colder than I remembered. So I threw my black Overwatch hoodie on. And yes, of course I had one of those. The driver that was taking me pulled up within the hour and helped me put everything in the trunk of the car. After that, we began our journey to Washington, Seattle.

"Hi, Miss Tyler, how are you doing today?" My driver, Sal asked.

I loved Sal. He was the coolest guy I think I've ever really met. Sal was older, maybe about early 60's. But he was super nice and always made me smile. Sometimes I wished he was my dad or something.

"I'm doing pretty good, finally leaving this place." I replied as I put my seatbelt on in the backseat. "How are you, Sal?"

"I was having a pretty boring morning until you called. It's nice to have a change of route for once, not to mention I haven't seen you in ages."

I laughed. "Yeah, I've just been in my room doing the same old shit 24/7. Thought it would be a nice change."

"I think Seattle will suit you nicely, change is always a good thing." he smiled. "Now, how about we start this road trip off by getting some McDonald's?"

My smile grew wide at the thought of fast food. "Hell yeah, let's do it."

But before we left, Sal pulled out a small case that looked oddly familiar for some reason.

"Oh, and here," he said handing the case to me. "You left these in here the last time I took you out. I haven't been able to get ahold of your parents to get permission to return them, but here ya go."

I took the case and opened it, seeing my old pair of glasses sitting there, clean and untouched. I completely forgot I even had glasses after so much time of staring at a screen. I kind of just got used to the blurriness of everything, I guess. I put them on and widened my eyes, seeing everything so much more vividly. I was nearsighted, so this was such a huge change for me already.
