~This will be the last part to this chapter. I know, I can basically hear you all cheering with excitement. It's basically all dialogue. Either way, hope you enjoy.~
Someone obviously must have noticed my struggle when they tapped on my shoulder.
"Um... You need some help with that?" I heard a guy say behind me.
I turned around and looked up at this dude with messy dark brown hair covered by a snapback with a grey Pokéball design, smiling at me with the slightest smirk. He wore dark jeans and a black Vans hoodie, along with a pair of black Vans. Niceee.
"You don't have to." I gave a small smile in return to his.
"Trust me, I know I don't have to. I'm the king of knowing I don't have to. But you kind of look like you're dying carrying all that weight." He said and willingly took two of my backpacks.
"Thanks, though I could've handled it myself." I say then flip my hair over my shoulder dramatically.
He laughed. "Whatever you say, you new here?" he asked after I grabbed my penny and we began our way down the hall.
"Yeah, I'm moving in with my older brother. Room.." I trailed off to read the room number on the key. "..B-266." I finished.
"Oh, man. You're out of luck with two things already, not a great start." he sighed and shook his head.
"And how is that so?" I asked.
We reached the staircase and he looked over at me.
"Your room is upstairs." he said.
"Great, kill me now." I groaned and we started walking up the stairs.
"As much as I'd love to murder you, I'd rather not." he smirked, thinking he was clever.
"Oh, haha. So funny." I mocked sarcastically.
We made it all the way up the stairs and down the hall until we reached the room labeled, "B-266". I dropped whatever I had in my hands and carefully placed the backpack down if front of the door. He went to put his bags down as well, but a little too fast for my liking.
"Careful, dude!" I told him.
He widened his eyes, probably a bit frightened, and placed them down slowly, putting his hands up in surrender.
I laughed. "Sorry, but my babies are in there."
"You have kids now? You're only like ten." he mocked.
I punched him in the arm. "I'm almost sixteen, ya fuckburger. And they aren't my actual children, obviously." I ran a hand through my hair.
"Then what's in there?" He asked.
"My videogames, duh." I said and tapped on the side of my head, then fished for the key in my pocket.
"You play videogames?" he asked with a dumbfounded look on his face.
"Well if you couldn't already tell from my Overwatch jacket... Take a look for yourself." I said and pulled out the key, unlocking the door and putting my other bags in.
He opened it, revealing my entire collection of videogames packed in that one bag.
"Well, damn." he said and pulled a couple out, examining them. "So, you're legit then. Nice."
I leaned against the doorframe and looked down at him, who was crouched over the bag.
"What do you mean by 'legit'?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Not to offend you, but I could've sworn you were another girl that dressed in that style and wore videogame merch, just because they thought they were being cute. But in reality, they haven't touched a controller in their life."
"You wish, man. If we battled each other, you'd be shit out of luck. No doubt." I smirked.
He laughed and closed the bag up, giving it to me to put inside with the others.
"In your dreams, princess." he mocked.
I raised my eyebrows at him. "We'll see who's the princess after I make you my bitch."
"Sounds interesting, however I'd most likely get arrested since I'm like umm twenty one and you're not even sixteen yet." he smirked.
I bursted out laughing and had to sit down on the floor against the doorframe. He stood there with a confused look on his face.
"What?" he asked.
"Oh my god, dude. You look like you're fucking seventeen." I said and continued laughing.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Look who's talking, ya little baby twizzler." he said in a mocking tone.
"Hmm.." I looked up at him. "Alright, so I just met you, and you're already giving me cute nicknames? I'll take it." I laughed slightly and stood up.
"Like I said, I am an adult. You are a baby child midget thing."
"First, since we've went through all this time and never even knew, my name's Tyler. Though the real question is, do you actually act like an adult? What do you even do for a living?" I smiled at him.
"Well I'm Calvin, and I.. ya know.. make YouTube videos and stuff." he said with a shrug.
"And I bet you're great at that." I laughed.
"I am. Though apparently I'm too loud and annoying for some people. I get complaints all the time, since I usually make YouTube videos in the middle of the night."
"How 'loud and annoying'?" I asked.
"You'll find out." Calvin smirked.
"And what do you mean by that?" I asked him with a confused expression.
"That second thing that you had bad luck with already. The first one was that you're upstairs, like I said."
"And the second?"
He smiled innocently and held up his key. "I'm your neighbour." Calvin said, his smile growing wider as he put the key in apartment B-265's lock and turned it, opening the door.
"Wonderful!" I cheered sarcastically. "Well on that note, Calvin, A.K.A Mr. YouTuber, I'm going to eat everything that's in the fridge until I pass out."
He laughed. "Alright, then. And I shall prep for my new video and then wait until three in the morning to shoot so I can annoy the fuck out of people." Calvin smiled as he began to walk in his place. "Oh, and Tyler?" he said, peeking his head out of the doorway.
"Yes, Calvin?"
"If the noise bothers you, don't hesitate to scream at me through the wall." he smirked.
"Oh, trust me. I won't." I gave a sarcastic smile and shook my head with a small laugh. "Good night, dude."
"Night, baby child midget thing." he smiled once again then disappeared into his apartment, shutting the door behind him.
I rolled my eyes and did the same, going inside to actually get things started and unpacked. Already, by the look of what happened just now, I'm still not completely sure whether I'm going to love it or hate it here.
So, yeah. That's the end of chapter one.
