____"Connor."
Connor didn't move.
"Connor."
A sharp poke in his side sent brief moments of pain through his ribs, but Connor still didn't move. He was far too tired right now, and waking up was not on his agenda for at least another two hours. Jet lag truly was a bitch.
"Connnnnn.." Troye whined, giving up and slumping on top of his boyfriend's chest, his head resting by the sandy blonde's heart.
"Please wake up, babe. I'm so lonely." The younger male quietly pleaded, tracing his long fingers over Connor's exposed V. He drew shapes with his index finger on the patch of skin where Connor's shirt rode up. "Babe?" When there was again no movement from Connor, Troye got an idea. Pushing up his boyfriend's shirt a little bit higher, he saw the light-haired boy's happy trail. A grin spreading into his face, Troye gently tickled the hairs and the skin around them.
Connor was soon squirming under his touch, eyes scrunched up in that way that made Troye's heart warm. His pink lips were curled up in Troye's favourite toothy smile, peals of laughter spilling out of his mouth.
In that moment, Troye had never been in love more than he was now.
Connor was soon squirming under his touch, begging him to stop amidst his uncontrollable laughter. "Please, please Tro. S-stop!"He stopped tickling, laying back down beside Connor. Troye's hands drifted to hold his, squeezing gently. Connor's eyes opened, green met blue, and all seemed to be right in the world.
Propped up by his elbow, Troye gazed at Connor, taking in every detail of his physique; every pore, every hair, every freckle, every wrinkle. The blonde simply lay immobile, allowing his boyfriend to stare at him. Connor had never been one to be insecure about his looks, at least, since he'd finished with puberty and grown to look less like a kid. He was confident of his fitness level, all thanks due to the years he spent on swim team during high school. So for Troye to be lying here, studying Connor like a textbook, was by no means awkward or anxiety-inducing.
Slowly, maintaining eye contact, Troye leaned forwards, heart fluttering. He'd been heavily anticipating this moment, when he'd be able to finally kiss the love of his life, for several months now.
Connor's breath tickled Troye's lips. Both boys closed their eyes, closing the gap when–
Their phones both buzzed from their place on Troye's nightstand. Pulling back, the Australian boy groaned, shooting Connor a frustrated look. His brows were furrowed and his lips pouted, arms crossed across his chest. Connor had to resist the urge to laugh at the dorky boy he'd fallen for. "Aw, it's ok, bubs. We can always continue that later," he reassured. Troye huffed a sigh as he got up off the bed to check their phones.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Connor heard him swear under his breath.
"What, Tro?" He asked, propping himself up in the bed using his elbow.
Connor glanced over at the clock on the table, the numbers 11:28 becoming apparent to his tired eyes."It's the others. Look," Troye complained, passing over Connor's cellular. The sandy haired boy turned on his phone, eyebrows raising once he saw the enormous amount of messages in their group chat. "I'm gonna fucking piss on everything they love."
Connor pulled his lips into a thin line. "Tro, that's a bit harsh."
"Come on, they interrupted our..." Troye gestured with his hand wildly, waving it in circles in the general direction of Connor. "Moment!"
Sighing, the elder boy got up off the floor, walking the few steps over to Troye. Taking his hands in his, Connor leaned his forehead against his boyfriend's. "Our moment, however brief it was, was amazing. I'd like to experience a thousand moments with you. Ones just that that."
