Chapter 2

When I wake up dad still isn't home. I go downstairs to see JJ watching adventure time in the living room as I pass to the kitchen. I pour out the cereal and milk and sit alone at the table. The newspaper was half open so I look and read. Usually, my parents don't let me look at the news and papers because most of the time we're in there, and they all say rumours.

I hear mom walking down the stairs and telling  JJ if she wants anything to eat. She says no. As mom walks into the dining room, I quickly put down the newspaper and eventually realise there is the most ginormous picture on the front of me and dad hugging yesterday. How did they get it onto the paper so fast?

Mom picks it up and puts it aside. She gets a FaceTime from dad and she picks it up.

"Some people want to say hi to you!!" With people screaming and chattering, I look over into the camera to say hi to dad and see hundreds of people shouting my name and chanting! I'm shy so I turn away and hear everyone say...

"Arrrrr"

Mom says hey and smiles. I think dad is at the comic con like every year. After that I hear the people all shout, "Get JJ, Get JJ!" And JJ hears and runs in. She screams and giggles in front of the phone and runs off.

Dad says he will speak to us later and shuts off the phone.

I remember that tonight we are going to Jacob's and Gen's house. 'Yay' I get to see Tom and Shep!

When dad gets home, I give him a hug and he has some cuts and bruises on his face from the makeup. It has already been 6 hours, I have counted since we spoke on the phone. He goes into the bathroom to wash it off.

Mom gives dad a big kiss and he wraps his arms around her waist. It's kind of cute. Mom tells me to go upstairs to get changed into the outfit she's laid on my bed. It's matching with JJ's. Cool! As we only live a couple of minutes from uncle Jacob's and aunty Gen's house, we walk.

When we are walking, there are loads of people again. They take pictures of mom and dad hugging and they pose, but when they try and take pictures of me and JJ, dad quickly picks me up and puts my face into his shoulder whilst mom picks up JJ and does the same.

I hear dad say "No more pictures please. We're busy!" And pushes past the crowd holding moms hand walking just behind. When we eventually get to the gate, uncle Jacob immediately lets us in and hurry.

"The crowd are getting larger and larger" daddy says.

"Yeah, we'll have to do something about it, but for now, we'll just have to deal with it"

I see Tom and Shep playing in the garden so we run out and play with them. The adults follow and I give Gen a quick hug and Jacob. We play hop scotch and football before dinners ready. The TV is on and we see the episode our daddy's shot a few weeks ago. Dad and Jacob get out their phones and do a thing called a 'Facebook LiveStream' and promises to not get the family in it, just him and uncle Jacob.

I see him miming to his words on the screen and I giggle. Dad says hi to a few peoples names, then Jacob does the same. They're funny.

Mom whispers to me what daddy is doing and then I understand. He's speaking to fans of the show that him and Jacob are on, it's called 'UnNatural' and it's about two brothers who catch scary monsters. I'm not aloud to watch it because I'm too small.

Me, JJ, Tom and Shep all go outside. JJ hops on my back and Shep hops onto Tom. We play piggy back races and Gen records us. We win with them just behind. Shep isn't happy and Jacob laughs.

After eating dinner and going home, mom lets me sleep on her with my legs wrapped around her back. JJ is holding dads hand next to us. As they put us to bed, dad puts my lamp on and the stars on my ceiling. He sings the song and I fall to sleep.
