Chapter 4

After Frozen, we here a knock at the door. Well, I don't hear it but mom does. JJ follows closely behind mom while she opens the door. It's grandpa Alan, who gives mom a hug and JJ too. He walks in behind mom, holding JJ's hand. And comes to where the doorway is. I get up and give him a big hug and he picks me up. He whispers to me if I'm okay and I say I am now.

Alan is my daddy's dad, but he doesn't have a mom anymore. He sits down on the space on the other one person couch and we turn the TV onto something me and JJ will like, so while they talk, we can watch our shows.

Dad says to Alan how is his brother Jason, who is in the military, fighting bad people. Dad doesn't know how he is because he can't really talk to him while he's busy, but grandpa is aloud too. I kind of switch off and don't listen while I watch more adventure time.

Mom suddenly becomes really excited and dad starts to laugh, his smiles really big. Dad picks me and JJ up in his separate arms and swings us around. I say to put me down so he does. JJ is giggling and enjoying herself. I ask why is everyone so excited and that's when mom tells me. Uncle Jason is coming home! I go crazy and run down the hallway while everybody watches. They are all smiling with joy. I love uncle Jason. We get along so well.

Usually, when Jason comes home, which is quite rare, all the family comes round. I love when I see all my relatives together. This means I also get to see my aunty Mackenzie, who is dads sister. And all of my other grandpas and nannies. I am so excited!

We look out of the window, waiting for Gen and Jabob to come, there are loads of people at our gate and the others are trying to rattle it. Dad has to call Xavier, Ralph and their 'team' of other guys. They sort it out. But even when this happens at other times, eventually they all come back.

Tom and Shep have come over with their mom and dad to see Alan. They haven't seen him in a while, so that's why. Dad tells Jacob the news and he hugs him and smiles. While me and Tom are playing, I overhear the parents speaking about going on a trip for the charity thing they do. It's gone so well, they've even brang out a shirt for it. We are going somewhere to celebrate how good it's gone. I think it's Africa in a weeks time. Iv never been to Africa.

They are all speaking about the things they are going to need to do. Are dads have been to Africa before, but us kids and our moms haven't. As I just become excited, I hear the word 'jab' and freak out. I hate having jabs! I cry to mom and tell her I won't have one, but she says I will have to otherwise I can't go. I say that I won't go but dad butts in saying that isn't really an option, it's already been booked and we can't go back.
