The End?

I woke up after it seems so long. I looked around,then I saw Gaara sat at bedside asleep while holding my hand with his. I felt my heart beating a bit at this. I tried to hold his hand but he woke up so I pulled my hand back.

"Hoshi. You're awake,I'm so glad. How do you feel?"

"I feel fine. How long was I out?"

"About a few days now. I was busy with work so I can see you at nights but now, there's less work so I can see you more often."

"Thanks for seeing me even you're busy."

"Of course I had to see you. You mean a lot to me."

I looked at him while not knowing what to say.

"Hoshi. I want to say something about what you said before fainted."

I stared at him for a bit then turn my face away but he put his hand on my cheek and pull my attention back to him. I felt my cheek getting warm.

"Before you fainted, you said you love me. I want to say that I love you too."

I looked at his face and saw something like a small smile, it was faint but it seemed like a smile. I heard some high note beeps from a machine. He gave a very light chuckled.

"Seems like you return my feelings. Good. I'll get a doctor for you now.I'll be back but I should go do some work."

He turned and walked out of the room. Soon after a doctor checked on me, he said I can go tomorrow at noon,if nothing else came up. At some point, Temari came in and see me.

"Hey,how are you?"

"Thanks,I'm fine."

"You and Gaara?"

I lost for words and felt my face went red.

"Hahaha....its nice to see things with Gaara and you are going well."

Temari chatted with me for a while more then left to go home. The next day, she came and pick me up from hospital. We went home and she let me help her do thing around house. That night, Gaara and Kankuro was back.

"Hoshi. You're back. We missed you so much and your cooking too."

"Kankuro!Are you saying that my cooking is bad?!"

"Umm....no?"

"Better not be. Sit down and eat."

Gaara came up to me and took me to sit down. After dinner, he took me up the roof. He sat down, pulled me next to him and put my head on his shoulder.

"I like this. I like spending time with you."

"Me too."

"You remember yesterday morning?"

"...yes." I was thinking back now.

"I meant every word of it. I don't know when but I knew I care for you a lot and this feeling already developed when I didn't notice. I like this feeling. What I'm asking is this, will you be with me?"

"....Like, girlfriend?"

"You learn a lot from Konoha, didn't you? Yes, something like that."

"Yes, I will."

He leaned down to my face, then slowly close his eyes. I copied him and he put his lips gently again my lips. After a while, we pulled away and looked at each other. Then we leaned in for a kiss again.
