To the Island

I was in my room packing things into my backpack.

"Hoshi, how you doing?"

"Hey Temari. I'm almost done. Do you need something?"

"You're really fine with going to the island?"

"Why wouldn't I be? It's better for me to go there rather than get in everyone way."

"Hoshi,don't say that. You getting better every time you train. You even know some jutsu of your own style."

"Thanks. I'm done, let's go and do something before I leave here."

"Yeah, how about go for something to eat first?"

I put my hands on her shoulders and followed her to the street of Suna.

(On the day of leaving)

I was standing at the usual place with Gaara, I held on to the fence.

"Here we are again, saying goodbye again."

"Yeah, here we are again. But after this time, I don't intend to send you away anymore."

"What do you mean, Gaara?"

"I mean after this time, I want to protect you myself with you by my side."

"Gaara...thank you."

I stared at him with a blush on my face as he returned his gaze on me. After a while, it was almost time for me to leave. He held out a hand for me to hold. I looked surprised at first but I held his hand as we walk towards the gate.

"There they are, I told you they won't be late. They're not like you Kankuro."

"Hey, I wasn't always late. Just a few times."

"Yeah yeah. Ready to go, Hoshi?"

"I can go anytime. I'll see you both after the war. You both better be safe or I won't forgive you!"

"I'm the puppet master and Gaara's guard. I won't get hurt at all, don't you worry, Hoshi."

"Good,I expect to see you well after this. Gaara?"

I was waiting his promise to me like Kankuro but he pulled me and lightly pushed his lips onto mine. My eyes went wide as he held on, I slowly close my eyes. I can hear noises from Temari and Kankuro about this sight but I didn't care at this moment. As he pulled away, we both were blushing and they had a smile on their face as if they wanted this happen long time ago.

"I'll be fine,Hoshi. Just be safe for me, promise me."

"I promise I'll be safe. I will see you after we win this."

"Remember your promise to me. See you soon."

"Bye, Gaara and Kankuro."

We walked towards the gate and I looked back to wave goodbye.

As we walking to Konoha, I got curious something about Temari.

"Temari,why do you go to Konoha so much?"

"Wh...What?! Did Kankuro say anything? I'm going to kill him! That's because I got important things that need to be sign by Hokage and Kankuro isn't the dependable type. That's why I'm going to Konoha, I'm not seeing anyone, do you hear me?"

"Hehe. I didn't say anything about seeing someone from Konoha. No need to be nervous."

I walked on ahead leaving Temari in shocked face and fist in the air.

"Umm...Hoshi?"

"I won't tell them. It's better when you're ready."

"Thank you."

She caught up to me and we continue our trip to Konoha.

After three days travel, I saw the familiar villiage. We walked down the familiar street of Konoha.

"Here we are again."

"But this time you will go to an island and I won't see you for a while."

"Temari, thank you for everything. Ever since you found me."

"You're welcome."

Both of us head towards to Hokage office in silence. Soon, we arrived to the room and Temari knocked on the door.

"Come in."

"Hokage-sama, I've brought her here."

"Thank you. I'll give you what you need later. I need to send Naruto out soon as possible since she's here. Hope that's fine with you."

"That's alright. I'll hang around, you can send people for me when you're ready."

"Thank you."

Just when Temari going out,I hugged her from behind with tears nearly fall onto my cheek. She turned around and hugged me.

"Take care of yourself. You're the first person found me. I don't know what to do if you're not here when it's all over."

"Hoshi..... I promise you will see me when this is over."

I nodded in her embrace, trusting her promise. After a while, I let her go so Hokage can get on with this. 

"So Hoshi, are you really fine about this?" 

"I understand that this is better and safer. If this would help everyone, then I'm gladly to do this."

"I wish Naruto would understand that." 

"But then he wouldn't be Naruto." 

After that, she explained to me how she'll use a fake mission to lure Naruto to the island and she'll tell him that I'm in the mission as well. I don't think he will fall for it but I'll go along with it anyway.

(Time skipped to going harbour)

I really didn't think Naruto would believe the mission but he did and now we're on our way to get the ship.  I wonder how he'll react when he discover the truth.

"Hoshi. why did Gaara send you on this mission by the way?"

Me and some Jounin from Konoha starting to panic. I need to think of a reason fast. " 

 "Umm...There's not suitable mission for me so he sent me to Konoha for experience."

"I see, it'll be so much fun with you here. I can train you if you like."

He accepted the reason and gave me a goofy smile. I nodded and smiled back. The rest sighed and looked glad he didn't question more. Soon, we got onto the ship and set sailed. It was rough ride to the island, we had to make a few stops and face quite a few challenges. We're on the ship and Naruto mentioned about a guidance octopus, does he mean about the 8 tails? Someone shouted there's an island ahead, it seems we're landing soon.
