I slam the snooze button down on my alarm clock and lay there, debating with myself on weather or not I should get up now, or in 10 minutes. I choose now and swing my feet onto the ground, my body following. Sitting up, I rub sleep from my eyes and stand up, shuffling my feet across the cold cherry hard-wood floor, to my walk-in closet. I scan the racks, humming an unnamed tune softly.

By 6:15, I'm dressed in my black skinny jeans, my black and pink font T-shirt that reads,"Accidental Awesomeness" that has hot pink, neon green, electric blue, and royal purple sparkly, metallic artificial paint splatters on it, and a pair of black TOMS-like wedge peep-toe 3 inch heels. Now that I'm dressed, it's time for hair and make-up. I walk to my white-walled bathroom and apply some light make-up including Cat Eyes mascara, foundation, and some carnation pink lip gloss. My pink dyed hair is still an untamed bed-head mess, so I take my brush and rip through the snarls. When I'm satisfied with my complexion, I exit the bathroom and make my way downstairs. From the top of the stairs my mother yells at me.

"Lyzah!! Hurry up! You're going to be late!!"

"I'm coming!! Geez!" I snap and roll my eyes.

She ignores my sudden outburst and heads to the car. I follow not far behind her and climb into the passenger seat. She starts the car, and drives off.

The rest of the ride was silent, except the low sound of the radio on the background. My mom turns into the school parking lot.

"Bye Lyzah, I love you." She says, with both sympathy and regret written clearly on her face and in her eyes. Though I don't know why she's sorry all of a sudden. She didn't do anything wrong.

"It's okay, Mom. Love you too. Bye." I say and hop out if the car, slinging my backpack over my right shoulder as I hear my mom's Limited Edition Cherry-Red Lexus drive away behind me.

As soon as I walk into the building, I'm immediately flanked by my 2 best friends, Emily and Rebecca. I look over my shoulder, looking and smiling at them, to let them know I've acknowledged their presence. After walking through the halls, I finally reach my locker. Standing by my locker is the one and only, Trevor Daniels, my best friend of 12 years, and boyfriend of 3. I smile at him.

"Hey babe. You missed the game yesterday. Is everything alright?" He asks, his baby blue eyes glistening with concern, worry, and something else I couldn't name.

"Yeah, everything's fine, Trevor. I just didn't feel well yesterday when I got home. I'm sorry I missed the game." I say, feeling guilty.

He just smiled and kissed my nose. "You could've called or texted me, I would've brought you some aspirin." He says, truthfully.

"I know," I say. "But you had a game, so my mom gave me some Tylenol and I laid down for a while and took a nap" I reply.

"I still would've gotte-"

At that moment, my body went into shock. Electricity pulsing through my veins as my eyes roll back into my head. My limp body collapses to the ground. The last thing I heard was Trevor calling for help, but it all sounded distant.

Then.. Nothing.

"I know, but you had a game, so my mom gave me some Tylenol and I laid down for a while and took a nap." She says. Her angelic voice filling my ears.
