💙TREVOR'S POV💙
I had just fallen sleep. But was awoken by the bloodcurdling scream coming from Lyzah.
I look over, and Lyzah's face is ghostly pale. I get up to comfort her, but I stopped dead in my tracks when her eyes turn white, and she falls back to the bed, screaming. Knowing I can't do anything, I just stand there, frozen in my tracks. As she screams in pain and agony, my heart sinks to the floor. Watching her scream, kick, growl, and cry kills me inside. The love of my life is in pain, and there's nothing I can do about it.
I'm still standing there, and she's still in pain. Her back is rising off the table, and slumping back down again. Her body trembles, and her gaze is distant. Her face and body are as pale as a sheet, and she looks so fragile. As if with one touch, one gust of wind, and she'd disappear. As if she was made if porcelain, or glass. One touch, and she'd be gone.
Her body had stopped jerking around, but she was still trembling. Watching every move she made, my heart began to sink deeper. Something was happening. I could feel it. It was something no one could explain. It was something that wouldn't happen now, but it would be something tragic, something that would effect all of us, like a toxic deadly disease.
After watching her body go limp, no longer trembling. The only sound heard was her dangerously fast heart rate slowing to a normal pace, then slowing even more, where it was barely there.
I watched as her eyes closed. As soon as they did, her heart monitor stopped. It didn't flatline, it didn't become weaker. It just... stopped.
She wasn't dead, I could see her eyes moving underneath her closed eyelids, and the rise and fall of her chest. Her body just laid there, lifeless. But I knew somewhere in there, was a trapped Lyzah, trying to claw and scratch her way out.
***
It's been weeks, months since she's moved. I rarely eat or do anything anymore. I'm just waiting to see her beautiful smile again. Her beautiful face. Her beautiful eyes glistening with love and happiness.
💟LYZAH'S POV💟
'I need to get out. I need to wake up.' I told myself. I needed to wake up, before it was too late. But I couldn't move. I couldn't do anything. All I could do was lay there, and wait for life or death to take me away from this dark and lonely place.
Looking around the darkness, off in the distance I see something. Something I've been searching for what seems like eternity.
Light.
I run towards the light. I stop at the enterance, taking in a shaky breath. I walk through, and I'm in a room. A very familiar room.
"Quite strange, isn't it?" I hear a voice say, and jump and turn towards the source of the voice that had frightened me.
"W-who are you?" I ask, stuttering. "What do you want from me?" I add.
"Don't worry, Hun. I'm not going to hurt you. I'm your guardian angel, Anne. I'm just here to show you some things, to let you decide what you want to do. I'm here to show you what would happen if you died. Starting now" She said, and we were zapped into a room.
I walked around the room, which would be the room that my body was in. The hospital room.
I look over, and Trevor was standing in the middle of the room, staring at my lifeless body, deep in thought. He had been crying, and it looked like he hadn't he hadn't ate or slept in days.
"This is our first stop. Trevor. It's been about a week since your 'passing'. Trevor hasn't eaten, he's barely slept, and he hasn't left the room. He began to self harm, caused by the stress of being without you. He can't accept the fact that you're gone." She says, sympathetically.
"So.. He hasn't moved? At all?" I whisper, not wanting to disturb him. Though I doubt he could hear me.
"He occasionally will get up and pace back and forth. Sometimes he'll go get food from the hospital cafeteria, but other than that, and the usual of going to the bathroom, he'll just sit there." She said, a hint of something in her voice I couldn't read. Sympathy? Regret?
I smile to myself. I don't know why, just the general thought of Trevor makes me smile. But the smile quickly fades when a thought fills my head and breaks my heart:
He's hurt.. and it's all my fault.
He's broken, and it's all my fault.
He's incomplete, and it's all my fault.
I don't know how it's all my fault, but it is. I guess I'm just used to taking blame. For me, it's normal. I'm just used to apologizing, even when I didn't do anything. I guess I'm just so used to apologizing every time I got in "father's" way, or did something he didn't approve of.
Snapping out of my thoughts, I look over at Trevor's chair, but he wasn't there. I look around the room, and spot him next to my lifeless body. I heard him sniff.
"Hi Lyzah. It's me." He starts. "I'm sure you already knew that. But it's just a natural thing to say." He said. He always rambled when he's nervous. I giggled silently to myself, but only for a brief second.
"I just wanted to let you know how much I need you. I want to let you know that I loved you with all my heart, and I still do. I want to let you know that I still think there's hope for you. I haven't given up. I haven't stopped loving you. You're my life, my everything." He pauses, sniffling.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I know I'm crazy, but your my missing half. You're my best friend, and nothing will change that. Nothing will change my feelings for you. Nothing will change the fact that you are the love of my life. You are perfect in every single way. The way your pink hair fits you, your smile, your laugh, the way you can brighten anyone's day with just a smile, a hug. Anything. I love your personality, I love everything about you, but more than anything, I love you.
"I just want you to wake up, I want to see your beautiful face again, your wonderful smile that still gives me butterflies. I want to hear your angelic voice again, and your adorable laugh. I want to hold you, and give you anything and everything you want. I want to take you anywhere and everywhere you want. I want to wake up every morning and look into your beautiful eyes. The ones that hold so many secrets, so many memories, so much depth.
"When I look into your eyes, I see something truly amazing. I see something that I've never seen in anyone else. I see strength. Emotional and mental strength. You have so much of it. I see stories, memories that can't be told or explained in words. I see the little girl I knew as a kid. I see the Lyzah who had natural brown hair, and loved herself, not hated herself. The girl who only had to worry about what color crayon she had to use for homework.
"Please. If you can hear me, wake up. Please Lyzah. I need you." He finished.
I was in tears. I had no idea how much he really loved me. I had already made up my mind. I needed to stay. I don't care if my father's voice haunts me for the rest of my life. I don't care if anyone thinks less of me. I just don't care. I just needed to be with Trevor.
