💟LYZAH'S POV💟
"Trevor?" I called for him, with a smirk.
Jake's face turned pale, and the room fell silent. After a few brief seconds, the sound of Trevor's footsteps filled the room.
"What's the matter, Jake? Is someone scared of their big brother?" Trevor asked, crossing his arms over his chest. Jake was still silent, and nervously looked around. Trevor stepped forward. Jake's facial expression changed from shocked, to an evil grin. His look went from Trevor, to me. He stared into my eyes.
"So, Trevor.." He started, not looking away from me. "Did Lyzah ever tell you about our special time together?" He finished, still looking at me. I gasped.
"Jake, I fucking swear.. If you don't shut up I'll fu-" I started. But Jake cut me off by holding up his index finger, gesturing for me to wait. He used to do it all the time when I rambled on and on about why I was... disobedient.
"Watch your language, Ly. It's not lady-like." Jake said, using the same tone he used during his 'Daddy' days.
Trevor was still silent. I could understand why. He was probably confused. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Trevor's jaw tighten. He needs to stay calm. I swear if Jake tells him I'm so going t-
"I'll take that as a no, right Trevor?" Jake said, and stalked over to me, his painfully slow movements making my blood boil, and my breath hitched. Then Jake looked over at Trevor, who was either about to kill Jake, or break down into tears. Trevor slowly nodded.
"Well, I guess it's time to find out." Jake said, taking a deep breath. "Lyzah, why don't you tell him. Why don't you tell Trevor about all the times you screamed my name." He added. I looked over at Trevor, who looked at me with a shocked, but not angry expression.
"Jake, I swear if you keep talking, I'm gonna put you in the hospital." I said as my breath hitched.
"I didn't tell you to speak, Lyzah. Shut up." Jake snapped, looking at me. I bit the inside of my cheek.
Trevor lunged at Jake. The both of them fell to the ground. Trevor started punching Jake, and I didn't stop them. I ran out of the room to the kitchen. I dialed 9-1-1.
"9-1-1, what's your emergency?" The operator spoke the same greeting she uses over 10 times a day.
"I need the police. My ex showed up with a gun." I told her, a little panicked. That wasn't a lie, either. I saw a gun tucked into the inside of his denim jeans that hung too low off his waist.
"Okay Miss, what's your address?" She spoke.
"1124 Pine Street."
"Okay, the police are on their way."
"Please, please, please hurry." I said on the verge of tears.
"Miss, I need you to stay on the phone with me until the police show up, okay?" The operator spoke calmly. I took a deep breath.
"Okay, but please hurry. I don't want anyone to get hurt." I said.
"LYZAH!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!?" I heard Jake yell. I yelped slightly. Those were the same words my father said.
"Okay, I'm gonna hide the phone in my shirt. Please, just stay quiet, okay?" I whispered.
"Okay." She said shakily.
I hid my phone in my bra, and made sure I couldn't accidentally hang up on her. I took a deep breath, and slowly walked to where I had left them last. I turned the corner, seeing Trevor laying on his back, cringing whenever he breathed. I gasped too loudly, and Jake turned around, anger clouding his eyes, his face slightly bloody and bruised. Jake walked over to me, and placed his hand on my cheek. I flinched from his touch.
