CHAPTER 9

NARUTO'S POV

It was already past midnight and we were about to fall asleep. "Sasuke.." I called him and yawned at the same time. "What is it?" He asked me from his chair. "Are you sure you want to stay over night?" I asked him with worry in my voice. I didn't want him to be tired or not having a good sleep because of me. He already did enough by being by my side. But at the same time I wanted him to stay with me because I wanted company. He was the best one after all. "I told you already." He said as he changed his position in his chair. "Uhm.. Then you don't have to sleep on that chair. This bed is big enough for both of us." I told him while a light blush was starting to form on my face. Damn it, stop it. "Dobe, you're hurt." He said. "And I want you to be fine, especially now." He added as he got up from his chair and went to a sink to wash his hands. Now you're washing your hands.. "No, I'm not! I would be hurt if you didn't sleep with me, ya know?" I told him trying to convince him to sleep with me. I also put a big smile on my face because I know he couldn't resist it. "No." He simply said as he walked over to his chair and sat down on it. Damn it. "Alright.." I told him with sadness in my voice as I turned around so my back was facing him. I pressed a button and the top of my bed lowered until finally it was straight. "G-good n-night.." I told him while I was trying to fake a sob. "Are you okay?" He asked me with a worried voice as he got up from his chair. "N-no.. I.." I said as I started to fake a cry this time. I was actually good at it. I wonder why.. "Naruto, what happened?" He asked me as he walked over to me and bent down so I could see his face.  Now, what should I do? "N-nothing.." I lied. "Alright, fine! I'll sleep with you! But you will tell the nurses why I was in your bed. Got it, dobe?" He finally agreed and then a big teeth smile spread across my face. "Yay!" I let out a sound of joy as I made him some space in my bed. "As a patient I need the best comfort so.." I told him as I moved closer to him and put my left hand over his well-built abdomen and hugged him. He was lying on his back so he was facing the ceiling. I buried my face in his shoulder and also let one tear of happiness finding its way out of my left eye. This was too much for me. I never felt like this before. "Dobe-" He started as he wiped the tear away with his right hand. "Let's get some sleep." He said with a smile on his face as he put his left hand around me. Now my head was leaning on his chest. That was more comfortable than a pillow I may add.  "Yeah.." I sighed and closed my eyes slowly falling asleep in his embrace.

Next morning 10:00am

This was probably one of the best sleeps I ever had. I slowly opened my eyes as a long yawn escaped from my mouth. After two seconds I realized Sasuke was not in the bed. He probably woke up earlier and left. "You're finally awake." I heard the nurse speaking out. She was searching for something in the cabinets. "Yeah.." I sighed as I got up standing on my butt on the bed. "Did you sleep well?" She asked me with a smile on her face. I instantly blushed because she probably knew I slept with Sasuke. "Sure." I simply told her as she turned around and approached me. "Why is your face red?" She asked me as she put her hand on my forehead. Well.. this made me blush even more. "I don't know.." I tried to hide my embarrassment. God, stop it already! She smiled. "Don't worry, you don't have to be ashamed." She said as she gave me some pills. I smiled at her and then lowered my head so I was looking down at my feet. God, this is so embarrassing! "Oh! And he told me to tell you that he went home to eat something and then he will be coming here again." She said while she was washing her hands. My face was like a tomato right now. I can't control it. "Thank you for telling me. I appreciate it." I told her while I was trying to stand on my feet. "Nope." She said as she pushed me down on the bed. "It's better if you try not to walk by yourself for a while. You're still weakened." She said as she ruffled my hair. I smiled and then I pressed a button so the top of my bed was now in an incline position. "I gotta go now." She said as she started to walk out of the room. "See you around." She added. "Alright!" I replied her with a big smile on my face.
