Utau walked out of the infirmary, eyes bagged and head heavy. After Amu had attacked her, the long-haired girl had passed out. Her mind blacked out and she went into a state where he heard all but saw nothing. By the time she gained consciousness, Amu was gone. the big gash on her head forced her into taking treatment in school's medical room.
The head nurse was so shocked at her injury that she bombarded the young teen with questions and scolding which were about how she shouldn't involve herself in fights and stuff. Utau in her cool state of mind would have cared less about her concern but that day she was glad that someone cared. After the incident of Amu's supposed death, her family members began growing away from her touch. Her brother refused to talk to her, her mother, in spite of forgiving her, was never as warm as she used to. Her father on another hand...she refuses to speak to him because of his unfair doings. Then again wasn't I unfair too?
Utau heaved a sigh and made her way back to her class. She didn't actually want to see that pink-haired devil but...did she have a choice? and she wouldn't want to give that freak a sense of satisfaction that she made her feel terrified.
"I wish I never meet her again...not now at least"
Utau rounded the corner and almost bumped into another person. Utau was about to yell at the person for not watching where they were going but stopped herself from doing so when she saw who the person was.
"Oh, it's just you...Lulu" Utau almost wanted to lash at the blonde girl but she didn't. The said girl was crying after all...
"A-Ah! I'm s-sorry, Hoshina-san...I-I just" Lulu began to shutter her response but her soft sobs would also cut her off. Utau narrowed her eyes at the whimpering girl and noticed a star shaped key chain gripped tightly in her hand. For some reason, the key chain looked very familiar to her but she couldn't tell where exactly she had seen it before.
"That chain...where have I...?" Utau muttered lowly to herself but the other girl managed to hear it and pocketed the object in one moment. Utau, too, snapped out of her trance and glared at the girl for her suspicious behavior.
"I..I should b-be going then..." Lulu quickly averted her eyes downwards and ran past the titled queen with a hurried apology.
"Wai- come back here!" Utau shouted after her but Lulu took no notice of it and dashed away without a halt in her movements. Utau grumbled and stomped her feet in agitation, she was beginning to think that people were slowly losing their fear for the infamous queen.
It was then that she heard the loud ringing of the bell, signaling the end of the lunch. She had only 5 minutes left to reach for her classroom. Her next class was home science, while Lulu's was painting if she was not mistaken.
"I'll corner her next time I see her...that brat" Utau looked away from the hallway and turned back to go make her way to her next class. She might not be the most disciplined student but she had always made sure that her result never gets affected by her behavior. Then a thought struck back to her which she had ignored earlier.
"...why was she crying anyway?"
...
Lulu panted heavily after her short marathon-like-dash. She was completely out of breath, and she was half sobbing too. She leaned her head against the wall behind her and heaved a deep sigh.
"T-That was...close..." Lulu breathed out, closing her eyes and slumping down on the floor to relax her body. She had run away from Utau out of reflex, It was that mentioning of key chain that took away her breath. "W-Why did I run away, though..?" Lulu thinks back and she understands why.
