Continuation

After drinking some water, I placed the glass away and took a shaky breath. My head's spinning. Okay, this is not a concussion. It's not.
"Where's my phone?" I mumbled checking pockets of my cardigan and jeans.
"Maybe in the truck?" Lionel spoke. Oh, he's still here.
"I'll...go there and get it then." I said and when I took the first step, I winced in pain.
"Give me the key, Sofia." Lionel posed making me raise my eyebrows.
"Look, I'll go there and get it for you, then I'm gone." he demanded. I nodded and handed him the keys. At least he'll be gone.

When Lionel returned, I had been already laying on the sofa in the living room.
"Hey, Sofia, what's wrong?" he exclaimed jogging in my direction. Ouch.
"Run a little less louder cause that sound...is driving me nuts." I muttered while having my hand placed on the forehead.
"Tell me what's wrong. And I mean it." he ordered. I gulped hardly.
"I have a strong headache. It came just like that. And I think I'm gonna throw up." I explained. He took my hand in his and checked the pulse on my wrist.
"Couldn't it be concussion?" he mused. This is not fun anymore. In any time, I'm expected to throw up. This situation...it's bringing back the moments in the hospital in...America.
"Sofia, hey, talk to me." Lionel brought me back to reality. I nodded and gripped on his hand.
"Maybe." I mumbled. Uncovering my eyes, I took a look at him.
"Hospital is the best idea right now." he mumbled. I don't wanna go to that place ever again.

.....

"Okay, sir, we'll take her to the scan now. Could you wait here?" the nurse spoke to Lionel like I wasn't even there.
"Yeah, sure." he agreed. The nurse was about to walk me out of the room when I turned to face Lionel.
"Please, don't call anyone, okay?" I mumbled what made him confused.
"Just...don't call my mom, nor dad. Don't answer the phone either." I explained. Even tho he was a bit shook my what I asked him not to do, he nodded his head as yes.
"C'mon, madam, let's go." the nurse demanded and I followed her.

.....

Sitting on the bed in the hospital room, I kept shaking like a little kid who's cold. It's okay. It's just a hospital. A whole different situation. I'm so glad Lio wasn't there in the room with me and the doctor. He asked some...questions I don't want anyone to know the answers for.
"Well, it's a light concussion, Ms Agua, which means that I'd like you to stay here for the night." the doctor posed. Shit.
"So it's not that serious, right?" Lionel mused. He probably wouldn't be this worried if this isn't happening because of him being stupid and scaring me to death.
"No, her head is just really tender now, thanks to the concussion 7 months ago." the doc explained. Wow. 7 months already. Honestly, when I woke up in the hospital one day, I thought I'm not gonna make it for a day.

"Don't you want to phone...your family?" Lionel asked after walking the doctor out of my room. I reached out for my phone which he'd handed to me.
"Hey, mom, uum...I just wanna tell you that I'll stay at the flat tonight. Too tired to drive back to yours." I told her after she'd answered the call. She started saying some things I didn't even pay attention to because I noticed Lionel staring at me with furrowed eyebrows. Seriously, all I've done so far is to confuse that man.
"Mom, I'll be back home by noon. I promise." I said and told her goodbye.
"Whyyyy didn't you tell her you're in a hospital?" Lio sang making me sigh. She'd probably get a heart attack.
"Would you tell your mom you're in a hospital? Would you scare her like that only because of a light concussion?" I replied back with a question. I hate people responging by questions to me, so why am I doing this too?
"Fine. That makes me the only one to know what's going on." he noted. I slid under the duvet and shrugged my shoulders.
"That also makes me stay the night." he added making my eyes go wide.
"What? No! I'll be asleep s-so there's no need to stay here!" I squealed. To my surprise, he shrugged his shoulders and took a seat on the chair in the corner of the room.
"You'll be asleep so you won't mind my presence." he noted.
"No. Lionel, I'm serious." I demanded. Somehow he seemed to straighten his whole body when I said his name.
"Look, Sofia, you're here because of me. It's my duty to be here in case anything goes wrong." he explained. Oh believe me, there's not much more that could go wrong with my life.
"No way." I refused again. He stood up and threw his hands in the air.
"I'll sleep in the alley if you don't want me here in this room." he snapped and opened the door. Aaargh.
"Wait. No. Y-you can't...sleep in the alley." I posed my eyes wandering around his face. I know him! Jesus. I'm so stupid! He's...Messi. Damn it.
"No worries. I just need to get some water. Can I bring you anything too?" he mused with a tender smile on his face. I could use something sweet.
"Juice, please." I mumbled. He nodded his head and told me:
"You're not gonna make me leave, Sofi."
Who are you to give me nicknames? Who are you to stay the night with me?

Lionel's POV

After answering the phone call, I kept walking to the buffet.
"Hey! Will you come tonight?" Luis asked making me sigh. I totally forgot.
"No, sorry, got something else to do." I replied quietly.
"Something else?" he squealed with curiousness in his words.
"I'll explain later, okay? I'm fine, don't worry." I told him and hung up. After buying water and juice I started making my way to the room where Sofia's staying. I feel bad. I mean, that woman is clearly in troubles and I didn't add anything positive by causing her another head injury. I reached the room, however didn't come in. Instead, I stayed in the alley and kept watching her through the little window on the door. She surely is different than any other woman. She barely told me her name when I asked. Only today I learned that she's 27.
That day when I met her, she was really confused and stressed. I wanted to ask why, but...I just couldn't. There's something about the way she talks, the way she smiles...Even tho she doesn't smile that much. Actually, today I saw her smile for the very first time. And she didn't smile because of me. Her lips curved up a little when we were passing the children's department. Sofia, Sofia...
