Their eyes were black. It was almost as if there was nothing there. The thought that these people had eyes at one point, hurts my face. And my brain.
I don't know why, but I started to walk down the hallway past all of these people. Their eyes never left me. It was as if I held the secret of the universe. I made it to the stairs and began walking quickly down the stairs. I'm not even sure where I'm going. I just need to leave this building. I got to the main part of the building and the small fragile old lady that sits at the desk was standing behind the desk and just staring. Her eyes followed me as I left the building.
I walked down the steps and to the sidewalk. I looked up at the windows that showed the hallway. They were just standing there. Staring at me. I turned around and ran down the side walk. I bumped into a few people but they were all the same. Their eyes seemed to follow me as I ran past them. Most of them were just standing there. But some of them were shuffling around a bit.
There's only one place I know I can go for sure and be away from these things. The pizza joint. It's actually called Pizza Pirate. But for once I'm glad that I work in a pizza joint dressed as a pirate. And that I'm the only one who has the keys because I was supposed to open tomarrow.
