Chapter 5

Serenity’s P.O.V.

     I can’t understand why he’s so obsessed with these gifts. I never received anything! Ugh! My Aunt noticed my bad mood as we returned to England. “What’s wrong?” she asked me worried. “I kind of fought with Christian about some gifts he says he send me and they were received. But I never received anything!” I said frustrated.

    My Aunt blushed and dropped her grey eyes from mine. “He did send you some gifts.” She told sheepishly and I gasped. “What?” I asked. “Well, I thought he was bad for you so I was receiving them. I’m so sorry! I thought this was best for you!” she told me looking apologetic. “What?” I said again. “I’m so sorry!” she said. “I can’t believe you! First thing we’ll do when we land is to call Christian and apologize! Both of us! I thought he was lying and not only he didn’t but I hurt him by calling him a liar!” I said angry. “I’m not going to apologize to him!” she said offended. “Oh, yes. You are! He send me gifts and you hid them from me! for crying out loud!” I  said frustrated. “So?” she said not caring. “So?! We’re going to apologize!” I said.

    She tried to disagree but in the end things went my way. I took my cell out of my bag and called his cell when we landed. And then I noticed the time-he must be sleeping! On the 3rd ring someone picked it up. “Um. Yes?” said a sleepy Christian. I wanted to laugh and I almost giggled but I didn’t. “Christian, I know what happened to the gifts you’ve send me.” I said quickly before he fell asleep again. “Um….Ok….What happened to them?” he asked half asleep. “My Aunt was taking them. I’m sorry, I didn’t know and I’m so sorry I didn’t believe you when you said that you’ve send me something!” I said apologetically. “You’re forgiven and I’m sorry for not believing you.” He said and yawned. “Hold on. My Aunt wants to apologize as well. I forgive you!” I said cheerfully. “Good!” he said.

   I handed the phone to my Aunt. “Yes, Christian? I’d like to apologize for what I did.” She said formally, there was a slight pause and then she said “Thank you!” and handed me back the phone. “Christian?” I asked; not sure if he was still awake. “Um….” Was his response. “Sweet dreams. We’ll talk when you wake up. Bye!”I said. “Ok.” He agreed and I closed the phone.

    I headed to my house, I really love him. He gave me my first kiss and I’m so happy!

   My Aunt send me my gifts right away. He had send me a scarf from India, the dolls they have in Russia, a dress from Greece-and a bottle of Greek wine, champagne from France, silk from Italy, china from China (ha ha), a hat from Spain, a pair of shoes from Sweden and a pen with my name (Serenity) on it from Ireland. Wow!

   Early in the morning Christian called me. “Yes?” I answered. “Serenity? Did I imagine that you called and apologized yesterday and so did your Aunt?” he asked me immediately. “It was all true!” I said and giggled. “Oh….” He said surprised. “By the way they’ll great! I love them!” I said happily. “You do?” he asked me curious. “Yes! How couldn’t I? They’re perfect!” I said honestly. “Thank you, Christian!” I said cheerfully. “You’re welcome.” He said simply but he sounded happy. Then I noticed the time. “I have to go but I’ll call you later, ok?” I told him. “Ok!” he said.

    I have to discover a few more things about my Council before I have a chat with them. Let’s say that there are assumptions and I strongly believe that they have a secret army. My Aunt isn’t very happy that I made her apologize to Christian, she doesn’t like it at all. She complains about it but she admitted that Christian is really nice. Christian and I started talking through the phone, the internet and tomorrow-secretly-I’ll go to America through a portal for our first ‘secret’ date. I’m so happy.

   The time that I shall ‘talk’ with my Council is approaching. I know that Holly is doing well with her studies and that her birthday passed-it’s May now and her birthday are in April 13th. Sophia is happy and in love with Aiden. I like them both and I’m really happy for them. Who knows? We might end up as a big happy family!
