Weird Love and Life?! Duh! I'm a Vampire!

Chapter 4

Christian’s P.O.V.

     She left and I couldn’t tell her that I love her. Why?! Soon after her departure Dad came to my room. “How are you, son?” he asked me and sat next to me. “I’m fine, Dad.” I said smiling looking into his eyes. Blue like mine but completely different. Aiden had Mom’s dark blue eyes. “Aiden told me he talked to you.” He told me seriously and I sighed. “I want both of you to be happy but I know that Aiden won’t be able to handle to completely different countries into two different continents. You would. But still, Christian, I won’t force you.” He told me.

    “But if I won’t agree then Aiden won’t be happy, he wants Sophia and only her.” I said. “Christian, you were born leader. You have it in you, all those rumors came out trying to bring you down and yet they can’t.  Everything about you screams ‘I’m powerful and dangerous-when I want-but I prefer to hide in the shadows.’ Son, your eyes are the same with  the first Black. You have seen his portrait. He was ruthless, powerful, cruel, dangerous but he was also compassionate, merciful-when he should-show great emotion and a really kind person. You are just like that. We Blacks are one of the few Royal families that stayed up high from the beginning. We rule from the very beginning.  Christian, you are the one who should be King here. I won’t stop you from marrying whoever you wish-if you decide to take Aiden’s place or not.” He told me honestly.

   I looked at the wall ahead of me for a minute and then I sighed and said “Fine. I accept.” And Dad smiled. “Aiden will be very happy! You will too. Trust me!” he said while he hugged and then he left.

    A week passed and now I’m, finally, out of bed. I brought her the teacher I wanted, she’s going well so far. Sometimes I help her with her studies. Right now we’re sitting to the library, she’s reading and I’ll check her essay later. The news about me getting the throne here and Aiden will marry Sophia were out. Everyone congratulated us both. Gossip are going around about Holly and me. Yuck….

   I mean she’s pretty but I love Serenity. By the way I haven’t heard of her over a week now. Ok…. I’ll call her later. No one believes that I’m actually alive after my condition-an average Vampire would have died, but hello! I’m Royal not average.  Anyway, they’ll get over it. I’m not going to die that easy. Trust me!

   After we finished with Holly’s studies she told me “When you get well, could teach me how to fight? Please, please?” she was red in the face but as looked at her closely I saw the look of determination on her face and to her eyes. “Yes. If that’s what you want, I will. When I get well.” I said seriously.

  Anyway Aiden’s and Sophia’s wedding will be next spring at Greece. Aiden wants me to be his best-man. I’m really happy for my brother. He is in love and she loves him back. My Mother took Holly out for shopping and bought her clothes, shoes, books, everything she needed and what Mom liked. Sophia met Holly and liked her.

    Later, I called Serenity. “Yes?” she answered. “Hi. How are you?” I asked her. “Hey, Christian. I’m well. How about you?” she asked me. “Getting better and better every day!” I said. “I’m happy to hear that! I heard about you taking the throne.” She said. “Yes. Aiden asked me and well, he’s my brother. I’ll help him  as much as I can, whatever it is that I have to do.” I said honestly. “I know. You love your brother and your family. How’s Holly?” she asked me-when she said Holly’s name I think I heard a bit of irony. “She’s good. I brought her a teacher, she had fallen behind a few years and he is the best! She’s smart and catches up quickly. We’re friends now.” I told her smiling. “Oh, ok. I’ll talk to you later. My Aunt just arrived, talk to you later.” She said and hung up and I did too. That was weird….
