Finn POV
"Finn, I'm tired of you talking back." My dad, Moss said to me in an angry tone. "I'm your father and I have always been there for you, name a day I haven't."
A tear went down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away so he couldn't see me crying but I was sure he heard. "Mom can come back! I had dreams of her being here and if you bit her then mayb-" Moss cut me off.
"She can't come back! That was sixteen years ago! Your dreams are exactly what you called them, just dreams."
I knocked over the table. "Listen to me for once!" Glass shattered and that's when my brother Slater ran down the stairs. He looked at our dad who was holding in his anger. Moss's hair had already turned green and he looked ready to explode but he just popped another chip in his mouth.
"You're my son, my flesh and blood. I been looking for years on ways to make Fern come back to life. I asked witches and warlocks and even Gods but they all want a soul from one of my sons. So I said no because I love you guys."
"Take mine." Slater exclaimed as he came close to me.
"Never." Moss said and he opened the fridge to grab a bottle of blood.
"But I want to see her, and if we are trading souls then won't I see her for just a minute?"
"You're not trading, he's just taking."
"Dad, but what if-" The door bell ranged and Moss's eyes widened.
"I smell something." He whispered and grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer. He hid it behind his back and walked over to the door. He slowly opened it but after a second of looking through it he quickly shut it.
"Moss! Isn't this amazing?! I'm alive!" A sweet voice said. "Open the door! I want to see my two beautiful sons!"
"Dad, who's outside?" Slater asked our dad who had a tear going down his cheek.
"Your mom, she's alive."
