The New Girl

Chapter Two

I am currently sitting on the plane watching us land in a whole different country, as soon as I feel the tires hit the ground I sigh and tell myself that this is my home for the rest of my life. I got a window seat next to my mum, but my brothers and step-dad got seated close to the front. Everyone is rushing to get of the plane but mum and I just sit there and wait until most people are off so it isn't squishy and people aren't pushing us.

We eventually got off the plane and out of the airport, we are in a taxi driving to our new house. Everyone is quiet and not making a noise, so I just put my head phones in so I don't have to sit in awkward silence.

The taxi pulls up at a big house that is really pretty and looks modern, my brothers and I gasp at the sight. It's much prettier then our house back home.

"See it wasn't such a bad thing moving over here, we have an awesome house!" My step-dad Darren says trying to start a conversation with no one really.

We all just nod ad grab our bags out of the trunk. When we walk inside it is even better, everything is in position and set up. My step-dad was here last week to set everything up for us but came back home so we could all fly out together, I don't really get the point in him coming back to Australia just to fly back again but that's his problem.

After a tour of the house and eating something for dinner I go up to my room. The only thing have to do is unpack my suit cases. put my clothes away and decorate my room the way I want it. I had a shower, changed and jumped into bed. I check my phone and see that Lei has texted me,

Lei: 'Hey, how is it going?'

Me: 'It's alright, the house is awesome but I miss you guys so much!'

Lei: 'That's good, and I miss you so much too!'

Lei: 'Have you seen Joey yet?'

Me: 'Jesus girl, give me a break I only got off a 22h flight two hours ago!'

Lei: 'Haahah, sorry! When do you start school?'

Me: 'Nah its fine, Argh mum told me at dinner that I start tomorrow, so I should probably get some sleep. Good night ily x'

Lei: 'That sucks! Good night love ya x'

I put my music on and fall asleep listening to Ed Sheeran.
