The air in the living room all the sudden gets cold . I looked at Kyle, his warm hand slips into mine from under the table. He always had a way of making me feel better. He's the only one I've really been able to really open up to since the car crash.
The planchet moves to yes. I tighten my grip on his hand, he doesn't even flinch.
"That was you Nolan! I'm barley touching it!" Taylor says on the verge of tears.
"You think I would do that to Ashley!?" He yells defensively.
"Guys just stop! Let's ask another question." Kyle shouts at Nolan but his eyes only leave mine for less than a second .
The planchet starts moving again this time I'm positive that none of us are moving it.

I almost start crying, I'm overwhelmed. I can't move.
"Who is this?!" Kyle raises his voice, scanning every inch of the room.
I can tell he's getting mad. I move my hand onto his knee.

That's it I take my hands off and cover my face. I can't stop the tears streaming down my red puffy cheeks. Kyle takes his hands off too engulfing me into his arms.
"It's ok, I'm here I'm here your safe," he whispers right next to my ear as my tears stain his shirt. I get the courage to put my fingers back trying to fight the knot in my throat.
Nolan chokes out another question, "What happened?" Nolan asks trying to hide the fear in his voice. At this point Taylor is balling and I can tell Kyle's freaking out but he's playing it cool for me.
After the crash the police held an investigation. They said it was suicide, that he pulled the wheel. But I know. I know that it was something else. I know it wasn't suicide.
N-O N-O N-O the planchette moved quickly before flying off the board straight into the wall, leaving a dent in the wood paneling.
I screamed bloody murder shutting my eyes as tight as possible. Nolan and Kyle flew up and flicked the lights on and blew all of the candles out. Me and Taylor sat curled up on the floor balling.
Nolan freaks, "We need to go NOW!" he grabs Taylors hand. "Come on i'll drive," he says heading towards the door.
"Dude you can't just leave it's your house!" Kyle says lunging to grab his arm.
"Were getting out of here!" Nolan yells guiding Taylor out the door, into his car.
Kyle grabs my hands lifting me onto my feet, "I can keep you here come on," Ive never before felt so unsafe in my own home. I grab some of my things and leave, locking the door behind me.
Kyle buckles me into his rusty red mustang, a graduation present from his uncle, the engine roars and he pulls right out of the gravel driveway like it was the starting line and he was a NASCAR driver. He holds me close but doesn't say a word racing to his house at least 10 miles over the speed limit.
The warm glow of the street lights is calming but I can't stop replying the words in my head
