Welcome back to the café! Feel free to help yourself to some Slenderbucks coffee and maybe some cheesecake as we answer some questions!
Our next question comes from Benjamin_Denword and it reads (I'll shorten it for the sake of brevity):
What's your favorite interpretation of Jeff The Killer?
Good question. I'll be completely honest with you, I was not aware that there were 6 official stories surrounding him. The first story (which is the original) is the one I'm most familiar with, so perhaps it goes without saying that the interpretation of him from the end of this story is the one I've known and used for a while. However, since I haven't checked out the other ones, I guess I can't knock it till I try it.
I think reading all these fanfictions can distort one's view of the original character and make us forget what they're actually like. Ill admit, I think that's the case with me. So I'll definitely check them out when I have the time.
And the next question is also from Benjamin_Denword:
Following up, how about Eyeless Jack? My personal favorite is depicting him as a cold, smart, and unfeeling type. Being a medical student, I think it would fit him.
I totally agree with you on that. A lot of fanfictions portray Eyeless Jack as being cold and rude, while other may portray him as sinister and cynical.
I've always imagined him as being the reticent type, who doesn't really have much to say when prompted. I think of him as cold , somewhat distant but definitely smart and cunning beneath the surface!
The next question is from Chessire733 and it reads:
So I've been writing a story for a while and I've been trying to make Ben like a spoiled brat, you know considering he died being a kid (I believe, since there are several stories about him).
So should I try making him like that or something else?
The answer to your question is simple: GO FOR IT.
Write how you feel! Though many may argue, I think that the original Creepypasta for BEN Drowned leaves the character slate for him practically blank. And this is fanfiction after all. Like I said in the previous chapter in response to a question, write what makes you feel happy and satisfied.
I'll share something with you.
As a writer, I believe that I can feel my characters. That their stories are a part of me and that I was born to share them with the world. I can feel what my characters are like, and regardless of whether they're good, evil, spoiled brats (lol) I love them none the less.
But that's just my crazy talk.
The point is, portray him as you'd like. I'm sure there are readers out there (myself included) who would LOVE to read your interpretation of BEN.
Once again, thank you all for the questions! I need more more more! So ask away in the comments below!
Peace.
