Sorry for the very long wait! Let's jump straight into it.

How about creating a backstory for a creepypasta character that doesn't have one? like Dr. Smiley. (I haven't found not even one though.) Will it throw off a reader if you invent one for a character that doesn't have an origin? Asked by @Chessire733

Go right ahead! This is perfectly fine and you'll even occasionally come across authors who rewrite a creepypastas origin story. Just be careful. Try to stay consistent with the original story and don't try to change up so much that it doesn't feel believable or likely.

However, if you do, be sure to explain sufficiently. If you don't put it, no one will know it. The last thing you want is for the readers to be confused. Unless it's intentional or necessary.

For some extremely bizarre reason, I see Liu as being shy, quiet, pacifist... I have no clue why I saw him being like that... I don't know if I should keep it that way or change it... what should I do? Asked by @Shadow_The_Puppet

Well, this is where things get tricky. You see, if a character already has a set personality in a story, it's recommended to follow that guideline so that a reader will feel like they're actually reading about that character. If you go off and write the character how you want them to be, it will just feel like you're reading a story about a different character that has the same name as the original.

However, if it isn't very clear how the character is and how they react to things, you're free to play around.

Sadly, Liu is one of the former characters. Just by reading Jeff the Killer, you can tell he's stubborn, hard headed, loyal, and was just about ready to fight Randy and his friends as Jeff was. Add in Sully and Liu is not shy, quiet or a pacifist.

Normally, I'd say write the character in a way that feels natural to you but popular characters like him with a background and stories don't give you that freedom really.

Anyways, feel free to leave more questions! I'll answer them to the best of my abilities.
