Ashton:
"... And yeah." I sighed as I finished my story. I looked up from my shoes and saw that Emily had tears in her eyes.
"No! Don't cry! I'm better now!" I put the almost empty bowl of popcorn on the coffee table in front of us and scooted over. I wrapped my arms around her. It felt so right.
"I'm okay." I heard her say. I released her a little so that she could look at me. "I never would have been able to live through what happened to you." She shook her head.
"Yeah. But you know what kept me alive the whole time?" I asked.
"What?" The curiosity sparkled in her eyes.
"I was waiting for the perfect girl." I said.
"Oh." She looked down. She seemed sad.
"I met her recently." I began with a smile on my face. "She's really pretty. Has blue eyes and long curly brown hair. But you know the best thing about her?"
Emily shook her head.
"We have matching scars on our wrists." I finished.
"What's her name?" She asked. She sounded disappointed. She really didn't put things together quickly.
"Emily. It's you." I said finally.
Emily gasped.
"No. You don't like me. I'm not perfect, or pretty, or-"
That was when I kissed her.

Emily:
Shit.
Fuck.
Damn it.
Ashton Fletcher Irwin.
I was kissing Ashton Fletcher Irwin.
After a few seconds he pulled away.
"You're special. You're different. I like that." He said. I blushed.
"I'm not. Not really." I stuttered. I was tomato red.
"Yes you are." He chuckled. "We're off this week, it's a break from touring, you should show me around Boston."
"Yes! We'd have so much fun. I could take you and the boys around!" I said. I think I sounded a bit too excited.
"I was thinking maybe just you and me...?" He said. He sounded nervous.
"Oh. Sure." I smiled to myself. I couldn't believe it.
We heard the door open and Luke's deep voice.
"And this is the- woah!" He said. I looked around until I realised the source of his shock: I was still in Ashton's arms on the couch.
"Hi guys!" As much as I wanted to stay, I pulled out of Ashton's strong arms and stood up. "How was the tour?"
"Cool. Backstage is so much bigger than you'd think." Kate said as Lindsey's gaze moved from me to Ashton and back again.
"Really?" I said. I wasn't really curious to be honest just trying to change the subject from myself and Ashton.
"Yeah." Calum said as he sat down with a bag of Gummi Worms.
"What was that we just saw? When we walked in?" Michael asked.
"It was nothing." Ashton said.
"Yeah. Nothing." I agreed.
"Emily's invited us to go around and see Boston over the next few days while we're here." Ashton piped up after a moment of awkward silence.
"Sweet! I always wanted to live in Boston when I was little." Calum said.
Luke was busy scrolling through twitter no doubt, but he nodded.
"Where do you you guys live?" Michael asked.
"We're from Trineville (this is a fake town btw.), it's not too far from the city but about 45 minutes from here in Mansfield." I stated.
"Oh. Nice." Calum answered.
There was a knock in the door.
"Yeah?" the boys said in unison. Al poked his head inside the room.
"Alex will be in here in 5 to do your hair and sound check is in 20." He said.
"K." Ashton said as he pulled out his phone. Al closed the door and I could hear his footsteps fade away.
"Here." Ashton handed me his phone. On the screen was a 'new contact' page. "Put your number in so I can text and call you whenever I want."
I took the phone and put my name and cell number in. Then I took out my phone and opened a new contact page for him.
"Your turn." I gave him the phone. He laughed and put his number in.
"No matter what you cannot give this number to anyone. Understand?" He was entirely serious.
"Of course." I said and took my phone back.
The door opened and a petite woman walked in with a suitcase and a portable salon chair. I figured that it was the boys stylist, Alex.
"Hey guys! I was thinking for tonight's show we could-" she stopped speaking as she looked around the room.
"How did they get in here? Do you want me to go get Al?" She sounded worried.
"No! This is my..." Ashton hesitated.
"We're friends. I'm Emily, and this is Lindsey, and Kate." I stood up off the couch next to Ashton and stuck out my hand for her to shake. She took it in a strong hold.
"Pleasure." She waved at Kate and Lindsey. She had a bit of a English accent.
"Who's first?" She clapped her hands together, looking at the 4 boys.
"Meeee!" Michael jumped up and ran over to the chair. "I was thinking about dying my hair again!"
The boys groaned.
"That would be the 5th time in the past 2 and a half months!" Luke yelled.
Calum shushed him.
"I swear Michael, you are going to go bald." Kate said.
Michael screamed and put both hands on his head.
We all laughed.
"Whatever. I was thinking a deep red, Alex. With some black streaks along my fringe." He patted his fringe.
"Come with me. I'll give you the grand tour." Ashton whispered in my ear.
I giggled and nodded as he took my hand and lead me out of the room.
