After my classes, the afternoon slowly rolled around and as I began to get ready for my interview at the law office of H. Edward Styles, I literally was shaking and I was completely nervous.
Yesterday, when Kate had called the office and scheduled me an interview successfully, I was jumping up and down in happiness. But, now the butterflies had arrived and began to flutter and fly around in my stomach.
"Um, Olivia are you okay?" Kate asked. "Yes, why would you ask that?" I questioned her. "Because your drying yourself off with a pillow." She pointed out. I realized I was drying my body and hair off with one of my pillows on my bed.
Kate and Zoey sat down on Kate's bed with their pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks as they watched me prepared for one of the most important moments in my entire life.
My first job. My first real job.I tossed the pillow on my bed and began to use my towel dry myself off.
Olivia assures me, "Listen, Olivia, just calm down. Everything will be fine.""Ok, ok. I will. I will calm down." I promise her. I grab a white collared T-shirt, a black miniskirt, and a paired of black heels, that Zoey let me borrow for the interview.
I get dress and flat-ironed my hair before I pinned my hair into a simple and classy bun. I applied small amounts of blush and mascara.
"Do I look okay, guys?" I asked, nervously. "Damn, if I wasn't heterosexual, I swear I would fuck you." Zoey admitted, laughing. "Wow, thanks. Is that a good thing?" I asked, blushing a scorching and flaming deep fusion of red and pink.
"It's a good thing for sure girl, trust me." Kate winked at me. "Thanks, guys. And, Kate thanks for getting me the interview and Zoey for the clothes." I said happily.
"No problem, anytime." Kate smiled, as she drunk her latte. "Your welcome, Olivia!!" Zoey exclaims. I grabbed my purse, Samsung Galaxy note, and car keys and as I reached for the door knob, Kate and Zoey ran up behind me and hugged me.
"Good luck, Olivia." Kate whispers.
"Thanks." I said. With the directions of H. Edward Styles law firm given to me by Kate, I take the highway downtown to Naperville. The city lights of Illinois were on full display and was a beautiful and breathtaking sight to see.Thousands and thousands of tiny bright little stars were flooding the dark night sky. The weather was warm and humid, warming my ever cold skin.
First, I arrived at the office and it is large glass skyscraper building. My chocolate dark brown eyes are instantly glued to it and its tall height, almost reaching the skyline and meeting the dark blue and bright orange sunset.
After I park my car in the parking lot, I step out and lock my doors. I walk over to the glass doors and walk in. The inside is much stunning than the outside, I could see my own reflection in the clear white, grey, and black marble floor.
Behind a desk, sat a tall blonde woman with light grey eyes and her main focus was on a computer. "Uh, I'm Olivia. Olivia O'Brien." I said happily with a small smile. "I'm Angela. Oh, Miss Brown had told us about you, so you must be here for your interview today." She assumed.
"Yes, yes I am." I nodded politely. "Ok, go ahead. Take the elevator. Press seven. Take a left and you should reach your destination." Angela told me. "Thank you." I said. "Your welcome, good luck. Your going to need it." She smiled weakly.
By the strong and courageous tone of Angela's voice, I begin think there is a much hidden and deeper meaning to what she said. I press the number seven and once the elevator opens I walk in.
As I await till the doors open, I begin to try to give myself a pep talk before this interview. Olivia, everything is going to be good. I promised myself.
I step out of the elevator and quickly took a left into the corridor to find a closed door. I opened it and walked in as I nervously trip my purse falls out of my hands and onto the floor.
Wow, so much for a first impression, I swear why do I have to be so clumsy these days?
As I sat up on my knees and began to grab my purse, I heard small yet fast movements so I lift my head up. "I'm Harry Styles. You must be Olivia. Let me help you with that." He said. His voice was husky and the power and boldness in his voice really fitted his British accent.
He kneeled down beside me and helped me pick up my purse. Once we stood up, We were face to face together. His eyes were a glowing dark shade of jade and his hair was dark brown and wavy. "Well, come and take a seat. Let's get this interview started." He said to me.
I walked over to a chair and took a ln empty seat. He wore a navy blue suit with a black tie and black dress shoes.
He took a seat behind a large wooden desk and took a sip of his coffee."Tell me about yourself, Olivia?"
"Well, I'm a college student at University Of Chicago. I have a 4.0 GPA and a scholarship. I'm studying American Literature, hoping one day to become an author."
"Ok, well how well do you work with others?"
"Pretty great. I have very good communication and social skills."
"Have you had any work experience before?"
"Yes, I have. With babysitting and Zaxby's."
After the interview, I got up and shook his hand softly. "Thank you for your time. I will h--" Before I could say anything, Harry had rudely interrupted me. "Your hired. You start tomorrow. Don't be late." He said.
