Jariah's P.O.V.
"Baby girl, can you believe that I am starting my sophmore season tomorrow." Kelly said as he looked up at the ceiling. We were laying down on our bed, just enjoying each other's company.
"Yes I am proud of you Kelly. You have done a tremendous job." I said as I played with his hair. He continued to look up at the roof as he let out a loud a sigh.
"Sometimes I feel I don't get the respect I deserve as a player. Ya undastand." he said more to himself, leaving his accent slip out a bit.
"Baby. What you have to do his prove them wrong. You are under a new coach, a new system and he promised you more minutes. Didn't he?" I asked as I turned on my side to face him.
"I guess you are right. Plus I am way better than last year. I just hope coach sees the potential. Riding the bench was not fun at all." he said shaking his head.
"At least you made that bench look good." I said making us laugh.
"Jariah baby girl, I swear you are a mess sometimes. But you right, I did make that bench look fine." he saig gassing himself up.
"And I am the mess." I said laughing at him.
"In all honesty babe. You have grown physically and mentally and you are ready for this season. You worked to hard this summer for them to pass you over. Show them regular season plays during the pre-season. Make them talk about you okay." I said as I looked him in his eyes.
"What would my life be without your girl. I swear you are my motivation in everything." he said as he kissed me on my lips.
"You better rest up. Big game tomorrow." I said as I pulled away. He wrapped his arms around me as we both fell alseep.
"Oh look my baby going on the court" I cheered as Kelly checked unto the court for the first time. It was the ending of the first quater and the Wizards were down two points from the Sixers. Eventhough it was a pre-season game, the atmosphere in Philly was hype. I was just excited that my baby get to play. He looked up into the stands and sent a wink my way making me blush a little.
"Okay baby. You got this. I know you do." I said as I cheered him on. A couple of Sixers fan gave me some stank looks and whispered to each other. I was not phased by them at all. I was here for my man and nobody else.
Every shot he made, I cheered him on. Every ball he turned over I screamed encouraging words, and when those shots were blocked I make sure to tell him he would get it next time. I was his personal cheerleader and loved every seccond of it.
As the fourth quater came along, the game was extremely close. The Sixers fans were screaming, cheering their team as they had possesion, the ball slipped out of the players hand and Kelly stole the ball, ran down the court and dunked it.
"Yaaaaaasss baby. That is how we doo it. That's my baby." I screamed in the almost quiet arena. The look on his face showed that he was riled up and ready to win this game.
"I am honestly getting tired of you." I heard a voice said behind of me. I turned around and met a woman giving me a stank look.
"Excuse me?" I asked her.
"You heard me. Screaming about that's my man, well knowing that you are a little groupie." she said with a little smirk on her face. Like that is suppose to hurt my feelings.
