"-Alya it's gonna be amazing seeing everyone in costumes! Though I bet you anything that Chloe is making Adrien and Sabrina coordinate with her costume." Marinette wrinkled her nose as she put on the final adjustments to her costume. Her eyes trailed over to her bed where her kwami, Tikki was sleeping soundly and occasionally let out a few sleepy mutters about 'cookies'. The sound made Marinette smile in endearment before the sound of two people laughing roared over the phone causing Marinette to redirect her attention back onto the phone.

"If that doesn't happen then I'll destroy my ukelele." Nino spoke up over the phone.

"Finally." Alya's voice took over as Nino let out a disgusted gasp.

"How dare you, ukuleles are the instrument of gods."

Marinette giggled as her focus came back to the costume she was working on. In preparation for the day, she had been working painstakingly hard to do her character justice.

"The gods must have pretty bad music tastes then."

Alya let out a barking laugh while Nino muttered grumpily. Sounds of movement was heard and a dull thump resonated through the phone. Alya cackled even more and was barely able to speak without bursting into giggles.

"Alright Mari, Nino's being a whiny bitch right now-"

"I most certainly am not!" Nino cried out indignantly but his voice sounded distant. She stifled a chortle. Marinette guessed that he was sitting on the floor while pouting like a child.

"Bingo." That confused Marinette. What did she mean by-

Oh

I said that out loud didn't I?

Marinette faced palmed herself while Alya's laughter still rang through the phone.

"But yeah I'm gonna hang up now, try not to stay up too late~"

Marinette scoffed and rolled her eyes. Everyone knows that Marinette is not going to get any sleep if she starts to works on a design.

"Okay mum. See you and Nino tomorrow. Goodnight losers!"

"Night Mari."

"Night Marebear!"

Marinette sighed and hanged up her phone. She had already finished her the one half of the 'couple's' costume now she just needed to call her partner in crime. Opening up the rest of her contacts. She scrolled through the numerous lists of names and clicked on Kim's name.

Marinette hummed patiently as the phone rang until he picked up on the fifth ring. A groggy, tired voice came out from the phone. Using her super awesome, magical detective skills, she deduced that Kim just woke up.

"Jesus Mari, it's like 2am."

Marinette sighed in exasperation, taking a break from her project. It was nearly finished anyway and Marinette only had to add on some gems to give it that extra flair. But since Marinette was on the phone with Kim, knowing how distracting and moronic he could be, she'd probably end up making mistakes and her costume would be ruined.

"Kim you're an idiot, it's only 11:15. What are you even doing sleeping for this long." A long groan could be heard over the line and sounds of the ruffling of sheets were heard.

"Alix."

Oh now that got her attention. Marinette could feel a smirk coming on but she didn't want it to be evident in her tone so she suppressed it as best as she could, coming up with teases to mess with Kim.

But Kim knew her too well.

Another groan could be heard but it was more frustrated and frazzled.

"Don't think like that, she just made me do a shitload of dares."

Ah yes. Marinette even remembered Kim and Alix coming over to her place that morning to borrow her makeup, (Alix claimed that Marinette was the best at giving makeovers and her makeup were good brands.) resulting in Kim being dragged out of the Dupain-Cheng Bakery 35 minutes later with the huge amount of makeup on his face that could rival Chloe and made him look like a clown.

Damn straight Marinette cracked up after they left.

Alix even sent her photos of her outing with Kim doing other dares.

Marinette's stomache was still sore from all that laughing, it was hilarious!

"Aw Kimmy, I know all about them."

A tense atmosphere grew between them and Marinette has yet to hear Kim take a breath after her sentence. A weak voice cut through the air.

"She didn't..."

A devilish smirk finally made its appearance on Marinette's face as she perched herself on her chaise to be more comfortable.

"Oh but she did, my friend. I have all the photos." Marinette's voice lilted with a teasing tone and trailed off into a raspy whisper before giggling at the image of Kim being absolutely gobsmacked in embarrassment.

"OKAY! Was there a reason you called me or did you just decide to fuck around?"

Marinette let out a scandalised gasp and put on an over dramatic posh voice.

"Oh my darling Kim, you know I'm not into what you call 'fucking around'!~ I'm an old fashion woman after all! Have to wait until marriage!~"

Kim snorted in amusement and uttered something that suspiciously sounded like 'could've fooled me'. Marinette burst out a laugh before getting back on topic.

"In all seriousness, I called to let you know that your costume is finished, Shang."

Marinette could sense Kim smirking on the other line on the phone, her own smirk sneaking upon her face.

"Let's kick some ass tomorrow, Mulan."

They were going to fucking own everyone.
