Selena

When I got back home, Harry was sitting by the TV watching some series. I placed my bag down and went to sit next to him.

"Hey, are you okay?" I ask as I notice the tears in his eyes.

"Y-yeah," He laughed, "I got emotional that's all."

I chuckled, "Aww, you actually have an emotional side."

"You thought I didn't?" He looked widely at me.

"I was kidding." I said like it was obvious, "Something happened today?"

"I saw Chloe at the beach. She confessed her love for me and-"

"Wait, she actually loves you? I thought she just had a crush on you."

"She loves me." His eyes searched mine.

"Okay." I look away, "What does that even mean? Why are you telling me this?"

"I just, um, I thought you'd care."

"I do care-"

"You know what? Just stop." He stood up and walked away.

What the hell was that?

"Harry!" I called. Running after him, I bumped into a figure. He turned around looking at me.

"What?" He snapped.

"What the hell is wrong with you? I did nothing wrong-"

"I don't know what to do with you, Selena. You confuse me." He looked away.

"What?" I whispered, trying to catch his attention.

"I actually thought I mean something to you but obviously I don't." He turned to walk away.

"Harry! What do you expect me to say? Be mine? Don't date Chloe? That's not me and we both know it."

"Love can change a person." He flared at me, "You know what, I don't care." He laughs.

I shook my head trying to understand.

"I'm going to date Chloe. I actually have feelings for her but I thought what we had was stronger. Now, I'm not sure I feel anything for you anymore."

"Harry, Don't be like this."

"You were right," He smiled, "Being friends is better."

"But I-"

"Good night, friend." He moved upstairs before I could say anything.

Sighing out loud, I punched the wall, "Aaah! Fuck."

Harry

I went back to my bedroom and texted Chloe to come over. She replied directly and said she was on her way.

Maybe mom was right. I shouldn't be with Selena. But that doesn't mean she'll leave. She still means something to me.

Taking a shower, I wore my black shirt and a pair of white shorts. A knock on the door snapped me out of my thoughts about Selena.

Chloe peeked her head. Smiling, I walked over to her and held her hand.

"Thank you for coming." I guided her to sit on the bed.
