Harry
"It's the senior gathering, Harry. Please come with me, I swear it will be lods of fun." Chloe exclaimed, jumping up and down the bed.
Groaning, "I don't think it's a good idea."
"Ian and Calvin will be there too! They're your friends."
"Oh yeah you're in the same class," I remember, "I'm just not in the mood for partying."
"It's not a party." She rolled her eyes, "It's a gathering. We're just gonna play some games."
"Alcohol included?" I raise an eyebrow at her.
"Beers." She corrects me, "C'mon, don't be a chicken."
"Fine I'm going." I say and she smiles widely.
"That's why I love you." She pecks my lips then heads downstairs. I take a minute to check my closet.
Throwing my jeans on the bed, the door squeaks. My eyes drift to Selena waiting by the door.
"Hey." I say lowly.
"Hi." She smiles weakly, "Going somewhere?" She looks at my jeans then back at me.
"Yeah, Chloe and I are going to her senior gathering."
"Oh yeah." She nods, "I guess I'll see you there."
"You're going?" My eyes widen.
"Yeah, um, Ian invited me."
"You've been spending a lot of time with him. Everything okay?" I fix my hair as she lays on the bed.
"Yeah we're close." She lets out a breath, "Really close."
"What's that supposed to mean?" I look at her as she stares at the ceiling.
"We like each other." She says randomly.
"What? Are you even hearing yourself?"
"Yes, Harry I am." She looks at me with a raised eyebrow, "I'm allowed to move on too, remember?" She walks towards the door.
"Are you sure you wanna move on with Ian? My best friend? Are you doing it on purpose to hurt me?" I can't help but feel my eyes water.
"Why would it hurt you?" She shrugged, "You moved on the second we called it quits with your sister's best friend. I'm allowed to see whoever I want."
I gripped her arm as she was about to leave causing her to turn around, "Ian?"
"Yes, Ian." She sighed, "Do you have a problem?"
"I actually do. I don't think you're good together."
"Well then," She turns to me, "Guess what, Harry. I don't fucking care what you think."
"Hey! Hey!" I called when she reached the hall, "Don't act like it's all my fault. You're the one who doesn't care the least about me!"
"You're right!" she shouts back, "I don't care about you. And you know what? I'm happy the way I am."
"So you care about Ian now, huh?" I laugh, "I thought you're a person that's incapable of caring."
"We both know I would never care about anyone. And we both know why too." She says lowly.
"I- I'm different. You know I wouldn't hurt you, Sel." I caress her cheek, "You didn't give me a chance to prove it."
"You did prove it." She lowers her head, "When you asked Chloe to be your girlfriend. When you gave up on me."
