Suddenly I heard "Step away from the body!" through a megaphone I looked up and their were several police there, along with an old lady who had been glaring at me suspiciously as I was trying to get on the train. I stepped away, but kept my hand ready on my sword. The police ran up from their vehicles and knelt over the pig-man. The chief, who's name tag said 'Rob', looked up at me and said,
"You killed him?"
"Yes sir." I replied.
"Do you know who he is- was?"
"N-no sir." I hope I didn't kill anyone important...
"This man... was the 5th most wanted criminal in this city." he said, looking amazed that I had managed to do kill him.
Not that I felt any different! "Really? Truly?!" I asked belligerently.
"Yeah, kid. And there is a reward. "Sergeant?"
A tall man with whitish hair came over "Yes, Sir!"
Geez, I thought to myself I hope he doesn't always talk like this.
"Give this boy his reward money," The chief said "And Samuel?"
Surprise showed on the sergeants face for only a second before he concealed it again "Yes, Sir?"
"Relax a little." Rob said with a smile.
"Yes, Sir." replied 'Samuel' slightly more gently.
Then he pulled out a bag and shook 50 platinum coins into his hand. My eyes widened, as 1 platinum coin is worth 1000 gold coins or 50000 silver coins!
"Here, Sir!" the Sergeant exclaimed once more even more vehemently than before.
"Go back home kid." said Rob, snickering softly into his hand.
"Yes, Sir!" I said than slapped my hand over my mouth, surprised at the random urgency in my voice.
The Captain burst out laughing as I reboarded the train, this time set for home, my old home. Looks like Lord Aaron will live for another day, while I went to face my family, once more. (I am now11,678 and rising! I feel like if the word gets out about that pig man, I could get even further up!)
