Its been about 3 months since I killed The Shadow Lord. Since then my popularity has been boosted up to 17,000 and I've been able to help support my family taking small missions. However, I have only been giving them half of my money. The other half goes into leveling up Blazing Shadows my sword. Right now he's a

blade.
However over the past months, my father has gradually been getting angrier as I helped the family more and went on more missions. Lately, although I've been keeping half my money, I've been bringing in more money than him and he's gotten angrier than ever. Yesterday I got a job for 5,000 silver pieces. My dad usually brings in 1,000 a week. Now, I have to go and tell him and my mother about it.
"Father?, Mother?" I asked as I walked into our main room.
"What is it, Mark?" My father said, glaring belligerently at me.
"Well, I've gotten a new job, for fi-2,500 coins." I explained nervously. "And, well, I'll be leaving tomorrow. Its in Gerflanium, 26 miles away."
"No." said father. "I've put up with this for too long. But your not going that far away anymore. You will not risk your life any longer."
"But Father! We need the money! and I have a promise to ke-"
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF YOUR STUPID PROMISES! IF YOU GO, YOU WILL NOT LIVE HERE ANYMORE!"
"Jared!" said mother "What-"
"SILENCE MARGRET!"
"Truly, father?" I asked
"YES!" He screamed, still pointlessly yelling.
"Okay father, goodbye." I replied.
"No! Don't do this Mark! please!" my mother begged me, putting a hand on my shoulder.
I pulled her into a hug and said, "I'm sorry Mom, but I have dreams."
"At least say goodbye to your little brother and sister!"
"No, mom. All that will do is make things harder for both of us."
"Then why are you still here, boy?" my father sneered, "If your so brave then get out of my house!"
"Jared! Don't taunt him!" my Mother cried.
My father whirled around and raised his hand at my Mom.
"Dad! Stop!" I yelled.
He span around.
"I'm leaving! Just leave her alone!" I began to walk backwards, just incase he raised his hand against her again. My back hit the door so I reached behind me and grabbed the doorknob.
"And never come back, boy!" He yelled hatefully, spittle flying out of his mouth.
And so, like that, I left.
