Chapter 2: uh oh

(Nickolies' wolf when he fully shifts, redeyes is Nickolie.)
I shifted a bit being sure Severus wouldn't fall off my lap as I sat up straighter.

"Hope I didn't miss anything of importance." I said softly loosing my grip on Severus a bit to prevent bruising.

"No, you missed nothing of importance. I must ask you why you decided to join Severus at this meeting." Tom said with a quiet chuckle in the beginning.

"For one I'm quite tired of my mate returning to school bruised and unable to walk without a limp or wince. Everyone else may not notice but I did, so I marked him this afternoon after classes and tagged along to prevent that from happening more. For two, given who my twin is, it'll be easy to get information on Albus, that boy can't hide anything from me. And for three, why not join my brothers' 'enemy' to get rid of the real one. Besides once Albus learns just what I am exactly and who my mate is, well he'll start making some mistakes and trip up a lot more often." I explained watching him closely raising an eyebrow almost challengingly.

"I see, and when did you start noticing your mate was hurt?" Tom asked as Severus hid in my neck and clung to me tightly.

"Last year, but due to being underage I couldn't do anything. Once Albus forced Harry and I to be in the tournament we became legal adults in the eyes of the ministry so then it was only a matter of waiting for him to approach me and confirm my thoughts. And I wouldn't do that if I were you." I explained and watched as he slowly drew his wand out and pointed it at Severus and I.

"Your not me." Was all he said before he cast Curcio  at us both, I grinned and took Severus' pain from him. I kept eye contact with Tom as he realized that neither Severus nor I were withering in pain. "How?"

"I'm an Royal Alpha Werewolf, I can't feel pain nor am I effected by any other spells. As for Severus, I simply took his pain from him so he won't feel anything either." I grinned as Tom actually looked shocked. "Now if you'll excuse us, we must be getting back to school before anyone realizes I'm missing. You can give me the Dark Mark next time." I said before apperating straight to Severus' personal chambers.

"Will you stay with me tonight?" Severus asked quietly as I set him on  is own feet gently.

"If that's what you want." i nodded and followed him into his room, using my magic to replace my uniform with a pair of black sweat pants. Severus grabbed his clothes and disappeared into the bathroom, I laid down on the right side of the bed. Tucking my left arm under my head I waited patiently for him to return, he shyly walked out. "It's alright now love, your safe here." I whispered softly as he tucked himself into my side and clung to me tightly.

"Promise you won't leave me?" He mumbled quietly as I gently rubbed his back soothingly.

"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me too, but you must know you really are my mate, not just faking, it's why the bond feels so real." I explained softly and smiled a bit as he relaxed against me.

"That makes me feel a lot better, I was scared you would leave once we didn't have to pretend anymore." Severus explained quietly sounding a bit like a teenager.

"No, I'm not going anywhere love." I reassured him holding him closer to me, he curled closer and nodded yawning a little. "Sleep love, we'll talk more in the morning." I told him and before he could respond he fell asleep. I drifted off into a light sleep, my senses staying open like normal only this time more to keep Severus protected while he slept.
