"Okay, we'll move closer to the edge very slowly." Jay said. I nodded.

"Okay." I said turning to him.

"Lets go." He said. He started walking closer and closer to cliff. My heart was racing and again I nearly fell. When we were close to the edge, I took deep breathes so I can see what was going to happen instead of falling into water. I close my eyes and open them after about about three seconds. When I open my eyes, I was literally on the edge. I look down and start hallucinating. Everything started to go in circles.

"Oh sh*t. I'm about to fain-" I didn't finish my sentence because of I started fall off the edge. I felt arms wrap around me, but that didn't help, we fell. Darkness took over me.

"Oh sh*t. I'm about to fain-" Devin said. I turn to her and she fell down over the cliff. My first reaction was to get her, but with that little extra weight, it somehow pulled me down. I saw her close her eyes. F*ck she fainted. It was kinda a long fall and yet a small one, too. When we were close to the water, I grab her and pull her up as quickly as I can, then I make sure I fall into the water first.

I felt the water splash on my back and ended up in the water. My back stung like hell. I accidentally let go of Devin. When blackness nearly came over, I fought back. I tried my hardest and swam to Devin. I grab her and carry her bridal style. I swim up to the top and gasp air when I reach for air. I immediately started swimming to land. Gosh, I'm tired . I look at Devin for a quick second and saw she wasn't breathing. Even more work.

When I reach land I put Devin down. I took a second to breath. After a breather, I look at Devin and had to start mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. I took the class about at the age of twelve. Only done it once, now twice.

After, when she started coughing she opened her eyes. I jumped a bit. She was gasping air and took deep breathes. She sat up and looked around.

"It's okay Devin. You're alive at least." I said. Her reaction was just breathing. She finally paced her breathing.

"That was the worst." She said looking at me.

"That was the worst for you and me. You fainted and nearly drowned. I got red all-over my back just by landing in the water back first trying to make sure I fell in first before you. I also nearly drowned. I saved you and got you here and done mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. So, yea. Had to make sure you were alive." I said.

"And what is that?" I said.

"Have you ever drowned?" She asks with a questioning face.

"Yea, when I was fourteen." I said.

"Um, no." I said.

"Then, why is my legs numb?" She asks me.

"I'm scared." I heard Devin say.

"How come?" I ask.

"What if I can't move anymore?" She asks.

"Actually, I do know that." I said.

"No, you don't." She said.

"What about our clothes?" She asks.

"I'll get them." I said. I open the passenger door and put her in the car. "I'll be right back." I said and start running to retrieve the clothes.

I'm totally scarred from this. A near death experience. I start to play with my fingers. I remember about the darkness inside Jay's eyes. He knew it was going to happen, and yet he didn't. But, it probably would've been that or it can happen later. I just don't know.
