Other Wybie lead Coraline and normal Wybie to the house. The door creaked open, revealing a long hallway with rooms coming off the sides. They had discussed at great length if Other Wybie was going to come home with them, but he had said time and time again, that because the Beldam was dead, who knew when the world she had created was going to disappear, along with Other Wybie.

They turned to this one door and Other Wybie opened it. Coraline knew this room. It had a large mirror and some armchairs. They had discussed Wybie's grandma's sister at length here.

As they came into the room, they heard a voice. They looked and saw Wybie's grandma, sitting on one of the armchairs. She stood to greet them and Wybie suddenly became terrified. The last time he had seen his traitor of a grandma, he had told her that he never wanted to see her again. Her knew what she might do?

But, it looked like his grandma seriously regretted what she had done. But Wybie knew that he sadly could no longer trust his grandma. He had to leave her behind.

Other Wybie pointed to the mirror and whispered to them that that was the way out. Coraline nodded slowly to show that she understood.

Other Wybie knew that the grandma could be dangerous, so he was going to hold her back until his friends could leave. He lunged forward, hoping to grab her walking stick, but missed and landed near the fireplace. He quickly got up and lunged for the grandma again.

In the meantime, Coraline and Wybie raced towards the mirror. Coraline could see that it was slowly starting to fade. This made them run faster. They ran as fast as their legs could carry them, the cat along their sides.

The cat dove into the mirror, Wybie after him. Just before Coraline got to the mirror, she stopped and turned to Other Wybie. She waved sadly, the last time she would see her friend, then she turned and dived into the mirror.

They flew into the hallway of the real Wybie's home. Coraline noticed that the mirror had a silver sheen before changing back to the normal mirror.

They had to go find Coraline's mother and father.

...

Coraline's mother was sitting in the kitchen with another cup of coffee when the door opened. She expected to see her husband, but when she looked up she saw her daughter and the boy named Wybie.

She raced over to them and embraced them both in a hug. She cried over how Coraline went missing and was asking over and over again of Wybie was alright after the fall.

Then Coraline proceeded to tell her the whole story.
